It has been well documented and reported that the initial delivery to Ukraine of the F-16 aircraft was between 15 and 20 aircraft. One has already either crashed or shot down.

in a way they were purchased albeit differently in the long run it helps americas economy and it bolsters natos allies with newer models and aircraft. However despite that and despite a lot of russian equipment being half functional they still have quite the numbers on their side. Not including their allies from china, to iran, to north korea to which the world mostly openly ignores... likely to avoid starting another world war of any sort though I'd be hard pressed to say that we are technically in one where major nations are all intermixed into the relationships and troubles of other countries all of which for the last few decades has been building and building.
