Joker and Darth Vader were always fighting for the best villain title...however I believe that Joker would take it because he's usually more well written in movies and comics and even games, despite the fact not having a cool origin story like Darth Vader he still manages to get the crown for himself and the fact that 2 different actors played his role and both got Oscars says it all. I mean is it a coincidence that every single joker appearance just made every movie he's been in better. Now you might say that Leto did his personal impression of joker yet it was awful...well that goes back to the fact that joker was handled/written wrong, joker isn't a thug looking to protect his GF nor is he crazy mad man just killing people because he's mad. it's because joker is an agent of chaos he wants to show that no one is better than he is (much like the devil if ya ask me) but that's just my opinion after all...
