That was a awesome Interview! I met jack around the late 90’s after a Great White concert in Portland, OR at the Roseland Theatre what a really cool and nice guy. I think Shot in the Dark, so passionate an album, is so under-rated. I fear for this Dude. He's not the same after the tragedy. I want him to be as good as capable, I want to champion my hero, but I can't. The blame game never wins. I met him twice. The Jack Russell he could be is in the shadow of never. I hate that for him. I cut my vocal teeth on that guy.

My sister had a copy of once bitten and I just loved it. She bought my my own copy, along with Robert Plants, now and zen, also Richard Marx first album, funny enough. But after that I was a huge fan. At the time the stores were filled with records. I mean actual flat, black and circular! Who’s also coincidentally, the name of the used record store I found all the other albums. Then I heard twice shy and I was hooked as it were. And on and on. Psycho city. Phenomenal. Was a little disappointed with sail away. Not because it was bad, but because I was all in to metal then and I hoped for something harder edged than that. But the sail was song is still one of my favorites. I know every freaking word. I was singing at my first concert with them and Jack saw me singing and pointed right at me. I was Star struck and since then I’ve gotten to meet several times. He even traded two of their tour shirts, for the shark Harley Davison shirt! Right off my back. He has always great to me. I hope he is able keep going for a while.

I remember my senior year of high school when GW's Twice Shy record blew up big and every rock and top 40 radio station was playing "Once Bitten Twice Shy" ad infinitum. I also had a cover band at the time that tried to learn "House Of Broken Love" as part of our set, albeit unsuccessfully! LOL! My favorite song off that record was "She Only", and I never understood why GW didn't release that song as a single. It would've been huge! Twice Shy still stands out as one of my favorite records of the 80's, and one of my favorite albums of all time for that matter. The musicianship, the songwriting, the production -- it was all top-notch! Mark Kendall laid down some tasty guitar solos, and you could set a clock by Audie Desbrow's rock-steady drumming and Tony Montana's in-the-pocket bass playing! A lot of fond memories of my youth are connected to that album and those songs, and I will forever cherish that time in my life.

Band sort of broke up for some time. about maybe 15 year ago I was working in a casino show room as a tech and I see they had booked Great White with original members and Dokken in the showroom. Much to my surprise it was the original Great White. Russell was pretty beat up. walking with crutch and sat on a stool the entire show but the music was all spot on. Of course George Lynch wasn't there nor the rest of the original guys. Mick Brown was playing drums. What character he is. Nice guy, made my day. .lol So I got to see Great White in one of there not so many performances back together again.
