Any suggestions on how to clean the Underwood 450? I got one yesterday - it was found on the street but seems to be a good condition. I'm very new to typewriters and don't know where to start. :)

The Underwood 450 gets my vote! Have you seen the (Smith-Corona) tri-color SEARS Forecast 12 typewriter? They have a black ribbon cover, a white mid-section, and a medium shade blue base plate. Every time I look at mine, I think of the Carl Perkins' song "Blue Suede Shoes" that was written first and recorded by Carl Perkins in 1955 and later done by Elvis Presley.
