That wouldn’t happen because you have to tell the aircraft force where you’re heading and what route so that it will make it safer for airplanes and for people that do these types of stuff. Meaning that he wouldn’t see planes in his way because his route is already reserved for him.

Sent here by Imgur today. Understand that on *Earth* helium is a limited resource and our yearly refresh from the Sun is net negative. Once released into the atmosphere it literally floats away into space. We really need the stuff for MRI machines and similar science and using what little we have for personal entertainment needs some ethical introspection.

The reason I mentioned apples and oranges is that there are differences in the way that cluster balloons, hot air balloons and gas balloons are flown - They all have their own idiosyncrasies. I'm basing that partly on things that I learned from a talk he gave on the history of lighter-than-air flight about 15 years ago, so I'm surprised to hear he made that kind of absolute statement.

I grew up with adults with no hobbies but living life miserably but doing drugs and drinking even after working, so I grew up thinking adult life is always going to be tragic and boring like that. But as I grow older and see these adults with such wonderful hobbies and dreams and achieving them even with a day job gives me hope for when I grow older.

His name was Larry Walters. The flight was in 1982. He used a pellet pistol, which he dropped mid-flight. HE is the pioneer. A simple truck driver, Larry lived his dream. He asked for permission or help from no one..,.he just did it. All who have followed are imitators. Hero is right!
