This sealed Frosts reputation as one of the greatest interviewers ever.. He said this is the only time he got angry with an Interviewee ..

Remember this whole thing well, savundra was an absolute crook with utter contempt for his victims, frost was young and punched hard in the first example of trial by television, ground breaking stuff, and still relevant today, as others here point out all we have today is big brother and love island, vallium for the masses.

19 minutes in .... The woman tells him her husband died as a passenger in a car accident, she almost died, and her policy cheque bounced. His response "I'm glad I got out (of the insurance policy company) when I did." ..... I mean ....I think now, he is a psychopath

I agree. What was shocking was his background ,,, he and especially his wife were from the elite of his home country. His father from the intelligentsia, academic attorney, his mother from the landowning class. You should read Facts Failures and Frauds by D Morier Evans. Chapter three of that tome bears resemblance to Savundra only that that fraud was done by a clerk. Walter Watts and His Frauds upon the Globe Assurance Office. Watts committed suicide. American Greed did an episode on a man who used insurance companies to embezzle funds..

I can't understand how the myth has arisen that Frost 'won' this. Savundra easily destroyed him, simply by citing limited liability, which was and is a basic principle of company law. It's a very dubious principle of course, but to this day, 2021, no political party has come near to removing it.

No I think it means frosty highlighted the guy was a squirming little toad who had no sense of morality or had it but wouldn't admit it I.e. Amoral or dishonest in fact both when you realise they go hand in hand :::basically an idiot who projected superiority to cover his base greed and lack of love to his fellow man. A fool like that will continue to put on the arrogance and superiority act until the bitter end coz it's their only form of defence even though it's just a bluff.
