Bring back two tones

Have you been in Huyton lately? One of the pumps there has two tone air horns, but set only one semitone apart, unlike the usual two to five semitones. The result is a weird "minor key" effect that sounds like the pump is feeling depressed! You used to occasionally hear these in the seventies, but it usually meant a faulty horn. This one has been like this for a few months now.

Yeah, caught their pump and the other 15 plates before on the depressing horns haha. Two tones in general, being used, are common on Merseyside.

I see the newer machines now have roof light bars and light on the number plate when did the old rotating lights go ?

Same machines! Just refurbished with LEDs and a few tweaks like forward facing seats on the cab.

Seems a bit of a waste of money re the lights on them , I thought they would just introduce the changes to appliances in the future, odd given budget cuts brigades still do silly things like that and why have the logo on the seats? it all costs money, very odd.

Jono 1975 - it’s 17 years old so was probably the best lighting at the time. The 1st pump had the same but they were refurbished a few years ago.
