Earl Weaver was even worse in the minors, one umpire remembered that he took first base with him and locked himself in a room. Since it was the minors, they didn't have any extra bases, so the groundskeeper had to knock on the door and beg for the base back so they could finidh the game. xD

@MrEvanfriend
@MrEvanfriend 5 жыл бұрын
@@jeffking5505 Uh, no, it wasn't on TV. They take a lot of footage that they don't air. You know how there's all those cameras to get all those different angles.....yeah. And the umpire was wearing a mic for a documentary about umpires, so the broadcast feed wouldn't have been picking that up anyway.

This was a beautiful thing! It's official, for us anyway, Bill Haller is the G.O.A.T of MLB umpires. How could anyone not LOVE the way Haller 'tossed' 👍 Weaver from the game >>> "Ah,... BOOM!!!!" He literally dropped the BOOM on the the l'il guy. From our standpoint, it couldn't of happened to a nicer guy than Weaver. In fact, this action alone warranted Haller's IMMEDIATE entry into the baseball Hall Of Fame. We ❤️ you, wherever you are, Bill Haller. God Bless!

My personal favorite was an AJ Pierszinski ejection. After a foul off out of play, he told the umpire, "Give me a ball. One you can see." Edit: For everyone harping on the George Brett Pine Tar incident. Technically, he was not ejected. He was called out, which ended the game.
