@@ImSeekingKnowledge How did you reach this conclusion? I agree that God exists and think that God is truth with love. I believe that we can find truth using logic, reason and evidence. Given all that, what logic, reason or evidence would you say best support Islam? In my mind, the best historical proof we have is for Jesus. He being raised from the dead is the best explanation of why people of his time started to believe that he was the messiah. The second best evidence we have is for Judaism, that is that the Jews all witnessed God speak and use Moses to part the Red sea in their escape from Egypt. This isn't as recent or as well documented as Jesus' resurrection, but it being true is the best explanation of why Jews believe this to be true. In both instances in the Old and the New testament, God appeared and spoke to large groups of people. As best as I understand it, Islam is similar to Mormonism, Buddhism and most other religions in that a single guy received the revaluation and shared it with others. In Mormonism, Joseph Smith gets a visit from the angel and tells him how the gospel has been distorted. He leads Smith to some golden tablets which then the Angel takes away. We are left to either trust this single man and his word or not. The same is true in Buddhism. This young prince meditates and discovered Nirvana- heaven and comes back to our world to share knowledge that he has gained. Please feel free to correct me, but Islam fits the every-other-religion-on-the-planet pattern by having Muhammad receive revelation from an Angel and he shares this wisdom with others. You either trust him at his word or don't. Out of all religions on the planet, only Judaism and Christianity share the fact that God spoke to a large group of people. This is what I would expect to be true, if Christianity is true. I would expect we have extremely-difficult-to-falsify proof. Other religions share information that no one can verify, save for believing their prophet as being honest, rather than dishonest, like every other fallen and corrupted human. However I don't think you have done any detailed research on Islam because if you had you would have found the answers. What you assert about Islam is totally incorrect. Islam is a monthestic religion and is named after the action of submitting to God’s commands and will and not a person. Other religions are often named after a person or people. For instance, Christianity is named after Christ, Judaism is named after the tribe of Juda, and Buddhism is named after Buddha. Islam is not name after Muhammad, please be upon him, because Islam existed before him. The message of previous Prophets, such as Adam, Abraham, Noah, and Moses was to submit (islam) to God. Hence, the message of Islam did not start with the Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him. It started with Adam and continued until today. With the passing of time, God would send new Prophets and Messengers to remind mankind of His message, to worship Him alone. Muhammad peace be upon him is the last of these Prophets. When you are looking for proof one must look at the sources of information which in Islam's case is the Quran (verbatim word of God) and the Sunnah (traditions, practices and teachings) of the prophet Muhammad peace be upon him. In saying that the prophet did everything in accordance to God's command so Muslims have to follow both the Quran and Sunnah. Now you make a point about historical proof but where are these proof because if you say because the bible says so then why do you believe what the Bible is saying is the truth? (Bible is collection of stuff written by Matthew, Mark, Luke and John and not word of God) Now we can use the same logic and say because the Quran says so and I believe it but you can ask why do you believe the Quran? Well because I have reasons to believe it is the literal word of God and here is an explanation taken from knowing Allah.com There is no other book like it anywhere on earth. It is absolutely perfect in the Arabic language. It has no mistakes in grammar, meanings or context. The scientific evidences are well known around the entire world, even amongst non-Muslim scholars. Predictions in the Quran have come true; and its teachings are clearly for all people, all places and all times. Surprisingly enough, the Quran itself provides us with the test of authenticity and offers challenges against itself to prove its veracity. Allah tells us in the Quran: Haven't the unbelievers considered if this was from other than Allah, they would find within it many contradictions? [Noble Quran 4:82] Another amazing challenge from Allah's Book: If you are in doubt about it, bring a chapter like it. [Noble Quran 2:23] And Allah challenges us with: Bring ten chapters like it. [Noble Quran 11:13] And finally: Bring one chapter like it. [Noble Quran 10:38] No one has been able to produce a book like it, nor ten chapters like it, nor even one chapter like it. It was memorized by thousands of people during the lifetime of Muhammad (peace be upon him) and then this memorization was passed down from teacher to student for generation after generation, from mouth to ear and from one nation to another. Today every single Muslim has memorized some part of the Quran in the original Arabic language that it was revealed in over 1,400 years ago, even though most of them are not Arabs. There are over nine million (9,000,000) Muslims living on the earth today who have totally memorized the entire Quran, word for word, and can recite the entire Quran, in Arabic just as Muhammad (peace be upon him) did 14 centuries ago All I can suggest to you my friend is do you research be sincere and you will find the answers you are looking for. A true message of God is one that answers all your questions about purpose of life, the best way to live life and what happens after we die. It provides answers to questions life throws at us about dealing with other people business and how to become closer to God. The best gift that anyone can receive is the gift of Islam and the Quran because Islam is the only way to salvation.

They call it the Old testament and include it along with the New testament in their Bible. In a similar fashion, Islam accepts both Judaism and Christianity. What I find confusing is that they reject both the Torah and the New testament. This is unlike the Jews who, accept the Old testament- the Torah, but reject that Jesus was who he claimed he was, and thus reject the New testament. If they accepted that too, they would be Christians and not Jews. Muslims, on the other hand, reject both foundational books of what they claim to be their foundations. Even secular historians accept that the versions we have of both the Old and the New testament are extremely well preserved. It is only Islam that contradicts this fact. They rely exclusively on what Mohamed thought. This brings me to what you’ve said about how Islam did not start with Mohamed. It had prior prophets, like Moses and Jesus. However, since Muslims reject both the Old and the New testament, they rely solely on Mohamed to convey what other prophets have done or said. So, they in fact reject both Moses and Jesus’ historical teachings. This means that Islam depends solely on trustworthiness of a single person to share the truth. You mention how Quran claims to be unique among the books and gives a challenge to find something similar. How do you see this challenge? In my mind, because it conveys the words of a single person’s insights, it is exactly like I would expect every other religion on the planet. I do not see how is it different from the claims of Joseph Smith, or Buddha, or any other world religion. They all rely on you believing this single source, a single person to be honest and having knowledge of truth that he is happy to share. Why do you trust that Mohamed was the proper source of knowledge? He is contradicting the historical facts about Judaism and Christianity along with both of their sacred books. This must mean that you place his insights above others. Why? You also mention how names of religions are important. They are, but they in no way define truthfulness of the religious claims. Both Judaism and Christianity are names given to the adherents. Islam is the name that Muslims have chosen for themselves. Either way, this does not say what factual differences these three religions make. You also mention how people memorized Quran. How does this reflect on the truth claims inside the Quran? People can and do memorize all sorts of things. There are Star War fans that know all the lines from the movies. Their familiarity with the source material is no indication of validity of the source material. It only shows how popular it is. Is this not the case?

I will touch upon couple of things you mentioned and point you in the direction of some websites/links that can give you more information as I feel you are saying lots of things on hear say or what you have been told but you need to go to the correct sources of information to learn only then will you find the truth. Islam and Previous Prophets Islam does not accept Christianity and Judaism but accepts God sent Messengers on the earth and Isa (Jesus) and Musa (Moses) are two of these Prophets. The versions of Christisnity and Judaism of today is not the versions Jesus and Moses taught. The religios texts and doctrines have been changed over time. You say historians say these books are preserved? Preserved in what way? We can't even prove who the authors of these books are? The content has contradictions so whether they are preserved or not the gospels cannot be the word of God. Here is a snipet. The contradictions start in the opening chapters of the Bible, where inconsistent creation stories are told. Genesis chapter 1 says the first man and woman were made at the same time, and after the animals. But Genesis chapter 2 gives a different order of creation: man, then the animals, and then woman. Genesis chapter 1 lists six days of creation, whereas chapter 2 refers to the “day that the Lord God made the earth and the heavens.” Genesis 1:2-3 claims that God created light and divided it from darkness on the first day; but Genesis 1:14-19 tells us the sun, moon, and stars weren’t made until the fourth day. So if the text has issues from the very first chapter it's irrelevant if it's preserved or not it is not the word of God. Now on the other hand as I said the Quran is the verbatim word of God. Why because the text is pristine, unaltered and the subjects it covers in their depth someone in the 7th century Arabia could not have known and on top of that the prophet, peace be upon him, could not read or write so on multiple levels its impossible for him or anyone else to come up with the Quran. The Quran was revealed by God almighty to the prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, through the angel Gabriel. It is an oral tradition so angel Gabriel came with the verses over a 23 year period to the prophet. 1- moutains of Mecca will have holes pierced in them 2- women will walk around both dressed and naked at the same time 3- camel herders will vie with one another to build tall buildings pretty solid if you ask me. there's many more. There's good videos on them. Samples: 4- people will put dishes (Arabs use the same word for satellite dishes and plates) on the topp of their houses 5- a message will be put out in the morning and in the evening the whole planet will know 6- the shade of the clock (Arabs use the same word hour and clock) will cover the kaaba etc. peace
