I have an idea for you Kaspa. Perhaps you already do this, I don't know. What if you made a video where you challenge your viewers specifically to play you and you do an analysis on that? I imagine your channel will get flooded with people wanting to play you.
@kaspachessofficial
@kaspachessofficial 6 ай бұрын
A few months ago, I did that privately coz I thought certain people would feel embarrassed or kinda being exposed in a bad way. But since you are the first to support this, I will give it a try to open those challenges publicly. And thank you so much for being part of this channel's growth. Your ideas and feedbacks have really helped us to grow. I will surely consider that. 🙏

@@kaspachessofficial you provide a real service in taking time out of your day and share your knowledge. I respect that highly. So many people doing this kind of work reinforces my faith in humanity. That people are mostly good, unlike what the media is trying to make us believe about each other.

I m sure these traps are just working to a certain elo number. Many Gm s will not fall for this i cannot imagine that!

Does this happen in e4 e5?
@kaspachessofficial
@kaspachessofficial 6 ай бұрын
Yes, one example would be the legal trap: 1. e4 e5 2. Nf3 Nc6 3. Bc4 d6 4. Nc3 Bg4 5. h3 Bh5 6. Nxe5 Bxd1 7. Bxf7+ Ke7 8. Nd5#

I’m not a fan of them either. I think the video works better if you keep the ending as a surprise. Especially when players are blundering repeatedly.

On lichess I'm around 1300 to low 1400 at any given time yet all of my opponents with a rating close to mine see these traps all of the time...but no one is cheating.

Eric Rosen also pronounces it the same as Kaspa.. I get the feeling they are right and people in America have a "hooked on phonics" way of mispronouncing words.
