Actually, Noble 6 seems to have been redacted from history. He'll at best end up as a myth or tall tale. Buck knows he existed, but ONI seems to have been hiding his existence. He isn't in Nobles memorial statue on Reach or Earth...

Pulse Spear yeah noble 6 plus Spartan II augmentation would’ve probably been nearly equal to the chief. or even have had the potential to be better. they did receive their initial training from the same CPO Mendez but 6 has the advantage of also receiving training directed by Kurt who was an original Spartan II AND a member of Blue Team AND was considered one the most tactically ingenious of that spartan class by the chief and the rest of Blue Team

The biggest thing that helps cement that Six was the best S-III was that Cortana chose him when it came to delivering the Cortana Fragment that lead to Installation 04. He's arguably played one of the biggest roles in ensuring humanity's victory, second only to the Chief.

If he were on the same level as John and noble 6 he would have wiped the floor with atriox not fail with two other Spartans at his side. And also Spartan 2s such as Fred, Linda, Kelly, and Kurt and those who made up Spartan Black team to me rank above Jerome in terms of overall skill.

Indeed no he is not but I still think yes maybe at first chief would have a tough time but he’d ultimately win the fight even if you count in his whole luck factor. Not even that chief is genetically superior then all other Spartan 2s and has special powers or ability’s that he has yet to unlock or use due to the forerunners. So really chiefs true peak in being a hyper lethal has yet to be seen until he unlocks/uses all his new power.

I had an uncle serve for like 30 years in the US Navy. He retired as a "Master Chief Petty Officer" because that was the highest rank attainable. Im no just makung this up and neither was Bungie or 343i. The Halo version of the Navy is based loosely on our real world Navy. Non commisioned officers max at Master Chief Petty Officer. So simply saying "Well Lord Hood is the highest ranking officer in the Navy" doesn't mean he can just jump regulations. That isn't how the military works.

It's visible in the intro cutscene as well. You see Buck mowing down and smashing through hordes of enemies with Locke close behind giving him backing him up, taking down a ghost barehanded. Vale went on and took down an entire phantom crew by herself. What was the most memorable thing Tanaka did? Colliding with a banshee mid fall, throwing a grunt over her shoulder and smashing through a stone wall.

This makes sense Ive always loved halo for the immersion it offered while I was growing up. Bungee always said they wanted you to be able to step in the shoes of Chief and both Nobel six and the Rookie remained nameless and did not show their face with little dialog. Of course 343 wanted to make cheif into a character separated from us. The books did this to we now have a good idea what his face looks like. As well as eye color and hair color and age. We have known his age and name for some time however. I was happy that 343 replaced this with a Spartan IV we could call our own. This video did make me feel awesome so thanks for that. Also it would be reasonable to believe that before we were Spartans that we fought with all of our favorite characters as Marines and ODST’s through out the war. Similar to Buck. However that’s up to you in your own head canon. Halo is at its core a sandbox power fantasy with epic story’s. So get out their and kill the enemy Spartan

Noble-6 was a headhunter which was a high class special forces unit tasked with suicide missions to eliminate hvt's within the covenant, insurgents and tasked with recon, often serving as a disturbance force in the background. You also have a Spartan 2 named naomi which is part of a black ops unit called Kilo Five. Before she starting serving in that unit she was introduced into the spartan program at the same time as Master Chief. Master Chief stated that she may have also been one of the greatest participants, going so far as to claim that she was the first ever Spartan to understand how to handle covenant weaponry. It's too bad we don't know all that much about these sort of units, I personally think the black-ops unit Kilo Five and the Headhunters have very cool lore to them, worth a look.

Personally I would have to disagree with you saying that the best of the Spartan II would be john-117 only because he was never the best of anything compared to a lot of other Spartans my own opinion is Fred 104 mainly because the fact that in most times we're skill were tested he always came in second frequently which implies he deliberately underperformed to not be shown as the best

There’s a problem with that though, Fred was never designated as a Hyper Lethal Spartan. Fred simply doesn’t have the same backings as chief. Fred is definitely number 2 in my opinion but if it came down to a 1 on 1 between the two chief would undoubtedly win.

Yo just finished Spartan ops on legendary, i was gonna do it with a friend but they gave up after the first episode, so yeh i did the whole thing solo. defiantly would not recommend, unless you really, really like killing covenant. Also you dont mind dieing over and over as you attempt to get past a solid wall of knights. And you dont mind killing yourself, to get a fresh plasma pistol. My favourite mission was ep6 mission 1 where if you didn't kill the covenant fast enough, they would shoot down you ship and you would have to restart the entire mission. You did receive a mech, however on legendary it basically gets destroyed instantly and you only get one for the entire mission, but then your In trouble cus you can shoot down the phantom that comes to kill your dropship. Oh yeh also everyone you get gifted with a vehicle or marines in spops legendary, the covenant always carry plasma pistols and fuel rod cannons, just in case it was actually becoming fun, despite all this, the last 3 episodes were actually quite fun on legendary, as the game was more generous on vehicles, enemy engagements were more fair, and some marine squads were actually invincible(until the game decided it was time for them to die, then they died almost instantly). So yeh my recommendation is dont solo spops legendary. But if you played on normal and got put of by the first couple of episodes cus they were kind of terrible, play to the end cus it gets much, much better, almost as good as the campaign, also they do add more maps, as at the beginning you seem to repeat maps a lot.

did any one else notice that there is one other honor that never gets mentioned, the rank patch for john-117 at the memorial at voi isn't a master chief petty officer rank patch, it is a master chief petty officer of the navy rank patch, of which there is only one at any given moment and they are the highest ranking non-commissioned officer in that branch of the military
