Love your reactions and the songs you choose! I would be eternally grateful if you picked a song from Burst in the future. Their last album Lazarus Bird from 2008 is a true masterpiece - would recommend "I exterminate the I" or "(We watched) the silver rain". They were always criminally underrated and not well known, it's a true hidden gem for progressive metal enthusiasts.

@Luemm3l10 ай бұрын
sometimes it is hard to divide death and black metal out, they share a lot of similar musical concepts. lots of minor scales, high shrieking, often times shitty production (not always), tremolo lingering on single notes, blast beats? probably black metal. more guttural vocals, more bass heavy low end, also "fatter" on the production site, but still very fast, often also tremolo picked and blast beats do feature, but more of a discernible groove and rhythmic variety? probably death metal. say a band like Emperor or Darkthrone and compare them to a band like Cannibal Corpse or Death and then tell me in what parts thez are similar and in what parts different. then re-engineer that to what you think is Death or Black Metal (without looking it up before). that would be my kind of suggestion. I am also oblivious as to what era or style a piece of classical music would be. Is it a Rondo, a sonata, does this come from the baroque era or more of a romanticism piece? without looking that up I would probably also be clueless.
