I’m a diehard Nittany lions fan and grew up hearing about the legend of Paterno. He was a great coach, one of the greatest undoubtedly. But man, Saban is in a class of his own. No one comes close. He’s the 🐐 undoubtedly. It’s not just about how much he won but how classy he was in the process. Alabama fans have been soooo spoiled for decades now. They’ll now realize how the rest of the country feels on Saturday 😂 It was a pleasure watching you string all these championships, coach Saban . Enjoy retirement life. It’s thoroughly deserved. As a lifelong Florida fan, I have to say I admire Coach Saban he brought me tears a few times especially in 2009. But today setting at my dinner table I was informed of his retirement and as I sat explaining to my kids the importance he’s played in college football. Tears begin to flow from my eyes as I thought about all the great coaches, like our beloved, Steve Spurrier, Alabama‘s, Nick Saban, the great commentators, Eli Gold, Mick Hubert, Larry Munson, Rod Bramblett. I’ve been blessed to have lived in this era with these great SEC legends.💯

As a Dawg grad, I feel like College Football just lost today. Watched Saban as the head coach at Michigan State, LSU and Bama. Gone miss him on the sidelines. Congrats to Coach Saban and MissTerry!!!

😮😮 Well it seems like he started this whole season knowing that it was going to be his parting season..glad he won his last SEC Championship so he really is going out on TOP. He will get himself the biggest ESPN TV contract ever probably 150 million dollars for the next 10 years..15 million a year sounds about what he is worth. 😮😮

Saban is pretty old tho. Your right and we actually have a REAL PLAYOFF now, and not some mickey mouse bs that always benefited him to make a title..... The idea that Saban's 7 titles are somehow not disputable is historically total bs, and a ridiculous take by the media. - 09 - 5 teams undefeated in a 2 team post season. A team that went undefeated 3 times in 4 years didnt play for the title, There was so much corruption during post season selection the FBI got involved investigating the league. - 11 - Alabama didnt even win their division, yet made a 2 team post season despite having the same record as 3 other teams. The selection of 2 SEC teams this year verbatim contradicted selections of past seasons (namely 2006). - 12 - This one is less so, but literally an undefeated Ohio State didnt make a title game. (*I have less issue with 2012 title, but it is worth noting how insanely corrupt the BCS era truly was. As a result of the 09-12 G5 Lawsuits the NCAA and BCS were facing $2.4 billion in cumulative lawsuits by 14 universities, 3 state governments, FBI, US Senate and US Department of Justice for fraud, corruption and anti-trust and these lawsuits nearly destroyed the entire league as the NCAA and BCS were found to be in violation of per se Anti-Trust Federal Acts that historically were used to break up monopolies in the US). - 17 - Alabama didnt even win their division. The selection of Bama over both UCF and Ohio State to this day doesnt make any sense. Inconsistent logic used to magically get Bama in the CFP.

I didnt see that coming. I would love to see WVU win a chip but at least we had people like Saban come from WV and go on to be the best coach ever. Now he is gone the recruitment might to a big shift for the bad with Alabama but u never know.
