I don't know if I could build something like this tbh. I'm more of a spaceship guy, but even then, I'm more comfortable with angles and flat surfaces than crazy organic shapes. I've been trying to push myself out of my comfort zone recently though, and now I'm inspired to get my Bionicle bin out

That was my problem as a kid. I’d tear my bionicle to pieces and come up with my own titan sized super detailed hero’s and villains or my own monsters/rakshi and now I have no completed sets

Love how Onua's got big arms and his Creature gives him big legs to match. Such a well executed combination! This collab has some of the best mocs I've seen. All consistently great.

Yeah the bigger legs definitely help, but I don't really like how the original legs just hang in the middle, they look limp. 😅

I think this might be my favorite Makuta MOC. He actually comes across as a sort of fallen angel than just a demon lord. Which reminds me of Sandman's Lucifer, where Hell and demons look like they would be the big man is white, blonde and gorgeous, contrasting everything else and standing out. It fits PERFECTLY.

I like Makuta's ruffled neck and black wings, he kinda reminds me of renaissance era depictions of Lucifer Morningstar, which is very fitting for someone as evil as Teradax

The Onua revamp reminds me of Gypsy Danger from Pacific Run. GD had jets on the elbow area, that would fire when the arm drew back to punch

I have recently finished a digital rebuild of core hunter (by that I mean I used his helmet and the entire body ended up looking like a black military uniform) It lacks all of the red bits and, while not super complicated, it is the most complicated build I have made. The only issue is that I don't have slightly over $100 to afford the pieces.

While I like the sleek, Mike Mignola-esque design of Toni A.'s Makuta, I feel like the the hap-hazard look of their Ekimu suits him more. The random pipes and tubes remind me of that scene from the old flash cartoons, where the Toa Mata encounter the dark spirit as a whirling mass of technic and Bionicle parts, talking about being a spirit of entropy and nothingness.

I absolutely love Ekimu's redesign because he looks like Indian or Oceanic god, a moving mountain of a man, the sumo fighter silhouette combined with black& gold accents and in contrast to the small-ish masked, feathered face just hits different... And also it is a silhouette rarely seen in action figures simply because it doesn't look as posable as the usual slim one. But here is on point...

@@Zakading I've started watching Helluva Boss recently and I just realized that! I also like that he has some classical elements like the ruffle around his neck and the elegant wings. It makes Makuta look refined and classy, and I could picture him confronting the Toa with a cigar and a glass of champagne (obviously Lego would never do that, haha)

The red ranger combined his titan form with a couple different equine themed zords and both had a backward sweeping helmet crest that he could use as an AOE attack 4:39 those flames on the elbows reminds me of the Gypsy Dangers elbow rockets from Pacific Rim

Onua literally has volcanoes for arms and the design very clearly pulls inspiration from the look of basalt, obsidian and solidified lava and implements it very successfully. Commentary: stalactites 💀🙈🤧 I know this might have been bait to make people comment. I took the bait. The bait works. The mocs look awesome. Kudos.

Adding onto the hunch on Makuta I think it's also showing how the wings are lifting him up and carrying him, as well as the hunch showing the weight of the hammer and the character design/symbolism of evil.

Pohatu and Kopaka are really well done I'd say the most successful, Onua looks good but i don't know how i feel about Ekimu and Makutas designs they are interesting but stray too far from bionicle they scream a souls boss duo lol and have hints of a Thor and Loki vibe for comparisons sake. I feel like there's too much going on with Tahu and not enough with Gali with their unifier forms Gali barely changes and Tahu becomes too complicated. But these are very creative and interesting mocs i couldn't make anything like thess for sure but I'm not fond of this take.

I can't lie pohatu and gali are the only ones that really feels right. Tahu is the 3rd best, but those feet seem so weird and wrong. Onua feels way too gimicky with the tiny legs. Kopaka just doesn't feel like Kopaka more like male white colored Samus. Lewa feels like a full on original berzerker character.

I like most of them, but tahu is a miss for me. The others have a lot of character, but tahu goes beyond weird and just becomes uninteresting. His arms are short, his armor doesn't feel like that of a warrior, and his sword lacks flair.
