I'd prefer first game combat, when you can outskill some hard combats on max difficulty. Using traps, parry with reposts and so on. Already can see gear issues and linear progress based this DA:O like combat. Probably it will be okay, but that's not what you expecting from third-person game. This combat idea is more likely for top-down party RPGs with strict roles and party-custom scenario.

If it helps, Greedfall 2 is a prequel to Greedfall 1. So you could just play the first game. The first game has better combat. Greedfall 2s combat looks disappointing. Hopefully, they will improve on it.

Greedfalls combat is one of the best I've played. Especially with sword and gun, guns so satisfying

The one thing origins was not praised for was its combat system lol. Over 300 hours in origins and the combat is at best playable.

So they decided to go the DA:O route of combat. Granted, a lot of people did complain about 1's combat, but this is a pretty big change. Will definitely make for a different experience.

Literally one of the, if not the, best RPGs to ever release (BG3) uses a slower turn-based style of combat. It was also in early access for quite awhile. This is an early build. Unless we play it for ourselves, its hard to judge how fun it is from a limited preview.

"What's this combat system?" Real-time tactics (RTT). You know, the fighting style that Kotor and Pillars have. Both incredibly fun games with genuinely challenging combat. I'm looking forward to this. Much more interested in this idea over the first entry.
