Yeah, this is definitely my favourite story for Green Arrow. I remember reading it a year or so ago and absolutely loved it. The story, in a way, recreated the character for me and made him so much more interesting.

She tries to have Oliver suffer what she suffered even though what she went through is nothing compared to what he went through. I would much rather have Dante be the big bad for that season. Hell, Ricardo Diaz again would have been better than her.

I don’t know. I kind of like the idea that green arrow is just a guy. He’s a guy with great hand eye coordination. We can throw in near human maximum agility. Just a guy who was forced to survive, using a bow and arrow, and had the resources to produce some pretty special arrows. Everything from a boxing glove, which would’ve never fit in the quiver to a small nuke on arrowhead. The idea that we need to turn around and make Oliver, something special, Mystic, epic. No. He is a man. He was a spoiled man. He may be loved too much and widely. He got faced with a challenge, and he stepped up. Even then he screwed up, but eventually he stood up and said yes, IAM, your father. So maybe it’s just me. I don’t like Peter Parker being the spider totem. I don’t want Oliver queen to be the arrow totem. I want there to be stories of average people that were faced with extraordinary circumstances, and stood up and said here I am.

OK, nope. I am at 10 minutes and I am out. I am 53. I might be an old fart. Ironically enough, I’m a social and political conservative green arrow is one of my favorite superheroes. If you don’t understand that he is super Duper Uber, or a liberal. I personally believe this is because of a misinterpretation of the Robin Hood mythos, who actually stole from government to give back to the people instead of “the rich” but there you go. Any rate. A normal man who was faced with extraordinary challenges and rose to the occasion, is much better than the era of some kind of arrow clan. All of this just tells me that DC has been BS since about 2016.
