Gorgeous pen and great work as always. You were my inspiration to get started turning and I thank you for sharing your knowledge. I do have a question. When turning this type of pens, bespoke as well, what have you come up with for a clip?
@RJBWoodTurner Жыл бұрын
I haven’t added clips yet because most people don’t want them on a bespoke pen. The preference is no clip. I have been experimenting with roll stops but am not ready to show that just yet, I need to learn and test a bit more. I took a class on Bespoke clips this weekend and the instructor said the same thing about clips. Not sure how I’ll proceed in that arena. Regards, Bob

Another unbelievably beautiful pen. I’m wondering, when you mark your drill bit to those very precise depths, do you measure from the very tip of the bit or do you measure from the place on the bit where it becomes it’s full diameter? By the way. I applied my very first CA finish today following your process and it turned out great. Thank you so much for all you do!
@RJBWoodTurner Жыл бұрын
Thank you. I measure from the start of the cutting edge not the center crown of the bit. Congratulations on your C/A finish. Everyone is nervous about doing a C/A finish until the see how easy it really is and try it for the first time. I’m happy my video was helpful. Regards, Bob
