Amazing video brother. I own a VW Vento 2011 model and recently have put green instead of orange coolant, as i had to make a long trip and coolant levels were low. When i got it serviced the mechanic said it should not be done but it won’t cause any significant problem. He further said the cost to drain the whole coolant system plus coolant is 6000 rs. Should i go for it or wait it out ?

Thanks for appreciating my work. You should replace coolant every 3 years or 80 k kms. Go for recognised brands and premix are the best with correct coolant/ water ratio.

Sir I have Toyota Etios liva 2012 model..I want to add coolent in it..but can't go to service centre due to current situation in our country.so I try to contact local shop .They told me we have coolent of green colour.now tell me sir , can I use green colour coolant for my car or if yes then I can use this for long time ..current pink colour coolant available in my car..if green colour coolant is harmful then I have to avoid .

Don't go for green one.Toyota cars have super long life coolant.Its life is 1lakh 60000 kms. Simply top it off with water if coolant is present in it. Get it topped by Toyota genuine or Pink colour once lockdown is over..It will be cheaper.In case going for green full system needs to be flushed and replace with premix not concentrate one..Do this only if its real emergency.

If you get Toyota genuine coolant then it will be premix.If you purchase locally then you need to flush entire and will be available in both premix and conc.

Always use specific kind of Coolant, i have stated the bad effects of using green coolant.Take take in selecting after market coolant as VW comes with Aluminium engine,to which some brands can react and damage it permanently.Go through user manual for it

You can flush the whole thing and replace with Dex cool, just do not mix with any other coolant.. And Dex cool works with Dex cool same colour only.

Dexcool is famous for its intoxication.. its just that the coolant is diluted with previous one and will work little less to its full potential.. We should be aware and more concious.

Yes you should fill from both places. But MIND IT, vehicle engine should be cold, From Radiator cap coolant should be filled while plastic bottle cap removed. Once you cannot fill any more coolant from Radiator cap ,it should be closed and next you should top off the one in plastic bottle.

I have gone through videos on KZbin and to my knowledge i haven't came across any better videos sharing more information about coolant.For formula its 90%propylene glycol with 9% Ionoized water with chlorine less then 25%.Phosporus should be added or removed in case you want to use it in All aluminium engines.This can be cleared in my video. Propylene glycol is a odourless and colourless liquid hence required colour should be used of food grade that stays stable at temperature above 250 degree celcius.

Don’t use other coolants / water for top up. In case of emergency, you can use equivalent of JIS K-2234 specification should be used (30% concentration diluted with distilled water) and coolant change period to be reduced to 30,000 kms. Box of coolant will be marked JIS K-2234, irrelevant of coolant colour.

Coolant should be a correct mix of 50/50 or 70/30 as per specification by manufacturer. Excess coolant will cause gel formation.If you wish not to mix water , then buy pre mix which doesn't require dilution.

Yes , you can purchase it in powdered form and make it by mixing water..two solutions can be formed concentrated and premixed form.Concentrated form can be used for 1:3 premix is to be used without dilution.A glycol sol can be purchased in 100 to 200 rs roughly.

Dear its JIS stands for Japanese industrial standard class 2 coolant which is ethylene glycol based. Basically it was released in 1994, so you can use the green coolant in emergency.Else use the recommended grade.Hope it helps you out. Thanks for asking me out.

Anti freeze is used in zones were most times its below Zero temperature. I haven't heard anything like Non antifreeze coolant.Maybe they are calling the rest ones by this term.

Concentra- tions greater than 70/30 coolant to distilled water will cause overheat- ing conditions. • Neither use 100% coolant nor 100% plain water. • Do not add extra inhibitors or addi- tives. They may not be compatible with your cooling system. • Do not mix different types of base coolants.

See , there is no need to use 100 percent, as it may cause gelling or sludge formation in hot weather. Kindly use 40/60 or 50/50 ready mix.
