Leadbelly was like MacolmX or MLK. When he sang about Green Corn, he was talking about the GrrenCorn Revolution in Oklahoma circa WWI. An Indian woman said, "It was the full moon of late July and August, the Green Corn Moon. We tried to convince our black and brown brothers to join us in marching to Washington to overthrow the government."
