Damn, Mark...your Green Day covers are fucking brilliant. You totally smash the shit out of this track, Sassafras Roots, and Nice Guys Finish Last. 10/10 mate! The G3 is so solid compared to my blonde Fender Dirnt signature.

Nice. But curious to see how it would be played Fieldy style, maybe incorporating elements of Jaco

I reckon you should upload a video showing just that 😎

You got that tone spot on. Awesome playing as usual. I was wondering how you would play the break towards the end of the song. This is probably my #2 favorite Green Day song only to be topped by J.A.R.
@MarkBullBassG34 жыл бұрын
Thanks! Me too to be honest lol Yea I like J.A.R too, have you heard the demo/s of it?

You gotta mod it with a fender jazz style pickup in the bridge like Mike’s G-3

Loving that punch! How much did the G3 cost?
@MarkBullBassG3 Жыл бұрын
Thanks! I think it was £999 about 9 years ago? I’ve seen them going for a quite a bit more though now when they do come up, around £1500

Hey man! Gj! May i ask which strings u use? Gauge? What's your action in height? Which pickup position u use? Tyvm
@MarkBullBassG34 жыл бұрын
Alright! I've got Aurora 100 - 40 guage on. Pickup position is middle, so all 3 pickups are on. In terms of string height I've never measured it! I just go off what feels good, but I can measure it and get back to you
@MarkBullBassG34 жыл бұрын
Distance from the neck to the bottom of the string at fret 12 is about 2.5mm. Hope that helps 👍

@@MarkBullBassG3 I'm finding the chorus tricky and the bridge / solo part
@MarkBullBassG34 жыл бұрын
@@supersonic6637 the chorus is quite tricky, the Db - 6 - 7 - 9 fill isn't played the same amount of times each chorus so it took me a while to remember that. You've then got the two differing fills, Eb - 5 - 5 - 7 - 7 Ab - 4 - 4 - 5 - 5. Then the second time round is, Eb 4h5- 5 - 5 - 7 - 7 Ab 4 - 4.
@@supersonic6637 then repeat that first part from the 7 on the Eb, then the run into the last chorus is, Db. 6 - 6 - 7 - 7 - 9 - 9 Ab. 4 - 4 - 5 - 5 - 7 - 7 Eb 5 - 5 - 7 - 7
