Maybe I missed what you're talking about, but when does he play the high E (1 string)? There's no 1 string in the pattern that he played (6-4-2-3-4-3 or low E-D-B-G-D-G).

Holup... why does the G chord on your shirt show three fretted notes (like in my chord book), but you're playing a G chord with four fretted notes?? Wouldn't that make it a different chord, as with the D/Dsus4?? (Guitar is, by far, the most aggravating instrument I've ever learned to play... hurts the fingertips, makes my back ache after about ten minutes... both hands play simultaneity doing intrinsically different things... sometimes I just want to throw this damn thing out the window.)

almost all the tutorials repeat the note on the bass twice (for example the sixth string twice etc) but I think that's how the original sounds, even without holding the first two strings anyway
