Leo, would be interesting to have a video about Dan's music background/history. Some times inspirational to other players to see what other folks went thru in the learning process.

I picked up the blue strat for around 90. Came with the same bag, which is a nice one. Pretty happy overall. Has the classic strat sound I was looking for. Had to shim the neck and level a few frets and now I have the action super low. The only thing I wish they would change is the glossy neck and fretboard, especially the fretboard. Prefer satin. might sand it down and oil it. The only thing I am going to change is to put on some roller string trees. I added 2 springs to the trem and tightened it down since I have no plans to use the trem bar.

Thanks very much, Cal and Rocko, for watching, I really hope I never see another like this, but aside from being uglier than my old girlfriend, it sounds okay 😎👍! They have said that my old girlfriends all looked pretty good from a distance or in darkness. Or as you Canadians say "good from far, far from good 😎👍!"

Another great vid, Fellas. The executive producer did a fine job with this one, and the guitar player was layin' down some sweet riffage. I was totally Transfixed.... on the Caster. LOL Leo... you are pretty dang funny, partner. OK Boys.... rock on. This looks like a heck of a deal to me.

That is a very interesting moo-moo paint scheme on that guitar. It would be a good gift for an elderly woman who loves gardening. Maybe it sounds good, but I was too busy laughing to hear it. Great work from Dan, as usual! Thanks for sharing. God Bless!

Good morning gentlemen! Generally, I'm not a fan of country but I do believe Dan may've helped to change my mind. Dan made that a fun little jam regardless of the absence of breaks! Not crazy about the flowery print but the base green sure is pretty. About the darkness of the guitar; while it's not typical of a Tele, I liked it. It's a good guitar. With a few tweaks and mods it could be a really great guitar. Money well spent just the way it is. BTW... Still hoping you guys will put up a hollow body 335-esque or one of your SG types for a giveaway! Not begging but Christmas for the grandkids has hammered Grampy's wallet!! Great video guys! Thank you, both and see you next week!

Thanks very much Marky for watching and for your kind comments as always, not planning on a giveaway just now. I have thought about shutting down the channel. It's getting really difficult to get four guitars per month to make these videos. That's why you are seeing so many inexpensive guitars and creative techniques that I can get two, or more videos from one used Squier. Right now I'm setting pretty good with 3 guitars and a fretless bass upcoming, but I have yet to shop for my kids and grandkids. We'll see how things go and we certainly appreciate you taking the time to watch our humble videos 😉👍!

Back at ya guys! I just love the fact that you guys repeatedly demonstrate that you don't have to have a $2500 guitar to enjoy yourself and make music. I really like the fact that the companies producing guitars in the $100 to $300 range are making some really decent stuff. What I like even more is that you boys do it in a fun, teachable and relatable way. I would watch your channel even if it was just Dan-o playing along to backing tracks. From the bottom of my heart I appreciate what you fellas do!@@leodanryan966

Thanks for that nicely fading away unplugged E ❤ When I was 17 and my long blond hair was freely blowing in the wind this guitar would have been the perfect fit. Times are gone and my liking changed a little. It’s still a nice guitar to me but the pickups, especially the neck, won’t enjoy my ears. On the other hand: it’s 83 for the guitar, a Fender Alnico 3 Tele set is about 79 and with a little soldering you’ll have a gigible guitar under 170 $ including a gigbag and a cup of coffee. Thx for that radiant uranium country jam Dan - well done boys...❣️🖖

Thanks very much, Guenther, for watching and commenting and for the visual of you at 17. Dan doesn't care what they look like, me I'm kind of set in my ways but I had to get a guitar if we wanted to make a video about a guy guitar 🎸 😎👍!

Groovy finish !!!!! But I've sold guitars for 50 years and guitar buyers are often the most insecure guys on the planet. They buy brown, black and sunburst guitars, very boring shoes and clothes and are often so in need of other's approval that guitars like that are very hard to sell.
@rustyshackleford95578 ай бұрын
And Honestly I'd estimate that less than 10% of the total guitars I have sold in 50 years went to a person who could actually play guitar. Most couldn't strum Happy Birthday without me giving them the tab. Even if I told em it was a I, V, I, IV progression, they'd still be unable to strum it. It is a world of Stevie Wonders talking about their new telescope. Watch the comments lol...folks will scoff at thid guitar finish. ... boring nerds from High School and now they are grown up boring nerds.

Based on that demo, this looks like a steal at that price...and great playing 👍🏻 "Comes with an extra guitar" 😆. How does it stack up against the Firefly Tele?
@leodanryan9668 ай бұрын
Thanks very much for watching and for your kind comments and question. It is a well-built instrument, and if not for the locking tuners on the Firefly it is on par with it. The pickups on the Firefly Mad Cat copy are more telecaster like than this guitar, but the Firefly doesn't have any case candy, certainly not a $40 gig bag 😎👍!

That's a cool tele with all of the modern features and body contours but man, It's on a whole other level of UGLY! Hahahaha! Hope Dan doesn't get a green thumb from playing it lol! The neck pup is way too dark, but the bridge is smooth and punchy! Not bad! Dan can make a 2X4 with strings sound good so this grass fed guitar sounded awesome in his hands! Thanks for sharing!

I’m more convinced now that tone is in the fingers and the amp cuz an 89 dollar guitar has no business being anything but a kids toy 😂 good player + good amp + random piece of wood with strings = all you need. That must be the equation 😂 great video and great playing!
@leodanryan9668 ай бұрын
Thanks very much for watching and for your kind comments. The amp we're using is a Fender Mustang LT25. I think I paid $150 for it. It does a pretty good job. Audio is just what the phone's mic picks up in the room 😉👍!
