It's so versatile. Make it a big thicker and it's a dip, make it looser, and it's a dressing. So cool

This is an amazing dressing! I've made three batches so far, for my most recent I added a chopped avocado (half) to make it extra creamy. You are so right about wanting to eat it by the spoonful - I enjoy it as a dip with lightly salted tortilla chips. Thank you for sharing this easy but delicious recipe! 😀

It is a Green Dressing - but the original Green Goddess had Anchovy Fillets and used Tarragon - instead of basil and cilantro, It also used Mayo instead of Greek Yogurt. It is a beautiful Green Dressing that you have, and I am sure it tastes delicious - but the original Green Goddess originated in San Francisco at a restaurant that Duncan Hines visited as a traveling journalist and food critic in the 1940s. It was popularized by Trader Vic's - who used the same recipe from a Duncan Hines recipe book - and sold his restaurant name to the Hilton company - which put Trader Vic's in all their hotels. By the 50s everyone had heard of the dressing - and by the 60s there were a million different variations on the theme. The ingredients were finely chopped and added to mayo - and the original Green Goddess did not look very green - and needed to be refrigerated for a few hours to bring out and blend the flavors together.

The color of that dressing is beautiful! It might actually be a contender for a paint color I'm deciding on for one of my rooms! Great video....I like the little mishaps. They make cooking shows more relatable. I hate it when everything is "perfect" because real life certainly isn't. Thanks for all the info, loved it!❤

So happy to hear that! It truly is a beautiful color 😀 And I agree with you, life is filled with little accidents and sometimes those accidents make the meal even better than if everything went perfect. Have a great rest of your week!

My two cents: If you chop the parsley and cilantro stems finely they'll break down in the blender much better, and the stems have a ton of flavor in them. Great recipe though, thanks for posting.

1/2 of olive oil is a ridiculously large amount. While olive oil is healthy, more than 3 TBSP still creates the same health concerns that regular oil does. Not to mention nearly 1000 calories of just oil and made roughly 2 servings only.
@sivudu6911 ай бұрын
You need to start with light weight items first then add heavier items. Oil and Greek yogurt should go last.

You are the first person to ever say they hate their vitamix... seems like you don't know how to use it, just add a bit of water, as you said at the end. I mean, the whole video is too chaotic. forgot the s&p, the whole yogurt scooping, the spatula. You should have remade it. This is poor content. Other videos of yours are much better.
