This is kind of a random comment BUT I’m recovering from drug addiction and alcoholism, and what I’ve learned to lean into instead of all that mess is cooking for the family that took me in while I recover. There’s this weird natural high I get from the process and art of cooking as well as the reaction I get from those who eat my food (as long as they enjoy it haha). That being said, having multiple ideas of simple dressings that can really help a meal shine is absolutely amazing to me. Thank you SO much for sharing and giving me more lunch and dinner ideas as well as your ideas on what salads to pair these with. Your recipes are outstanding as are you. 😁

Just quit drinking a month ago and and starting to find the joy in cooking again. Good for you. If u get a chance read “ the naked mind”. Very good book and has helped me look at alcohol different. It’s a drug and I can’t moderate a drug. What makes it hard for all of us is that it’s socially acceptable. It’s a culture of alcohol. Best wishes to you

I’ve been making these dressings as the recipe states for years now but today I decided to do something a little different. The apple cider vinegar is my favorite! Today I added 2 small mandarins to the recipe, put it all in the blender and WOW! What a delicious addition the mandarins made 😮! It’s a creamy, citrusy delight! If you’re a person who loves citrus as much as I do, then try this out. I think you’ll like it! Thank you Dani for these wonderful salad dressings!

I made the apple cider vinaigrette, and I just tried it today with a salad with beet greens, red cabbage, chopped up beetroot, carrot, celery, and some chopped up apples... and it is the PERFECT sweet and sour taste for all of it! I was getting tired of the heavy dressings, so I'll be making my OWN from now on. :)

I usually prefer my salads without any dressing at all because I love the flavour of the veggies as they are and If I do use dressing i only like to toss my lettuce/leafy greens in a bit of olive oil with salt, pepper, a tiny bit of garlic and sometimes chilli flakes. These vinaigrettes, however, are making me reconsider, especially the balsamic and apple cider 😍 i will definitely be trying them.

These dressings sound delish. I was stuck in the rut of the 3:1 ratio, but I prefer the vinegary taste. Let's face it, olive oil can be expensive. A chef in France gave me the recipe for a vinaigrette with the oil vinegar ratio, with three vinegars: apple cider vinegar, walnut vinegar, red wine vinegar, some sugar, salt and pepper. I adapted it to one table spoon oil, one teaspoon of each vinegar.

I took your suggestion to make proportions 1/2 vin 1/2 oil - 👍 Only thing I did different is use sunflower oil instead of olive oil - bc olive oil flavor is strong for me. Thanks!
