How can you put your green screen image on a lower corner I don't want it to be in the middle
@TechTeacherNate6 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately, I movie is pretty limited and it is not possible. Do you only way I would know if we did to actually film yourself in the lower corner of a large green screen. Another option would be to use OBS. I will be making a video on this soon.

Just start a new project. Put your image or video you want as background in first, and THEN put your green screen footage over it. It sounds like you might be trying to do the reverse?

@@TechTeacherNate This was exactly what I was dealing with just now, and after watching just a bit of your video, I closed iMovie and started over, and it worked. My only suggestion of something to mention about putting video behind the subject, would be to detach the audio first, otherwise you'll get all audio overlapping.

Thanks for the help! I have a quick question for you, if you would be so kind. I like the way iMovie handles green screen (I also have Camtasia and Premiere Pro, but it's a lot more hassle with PP, and Camtasia doesn't do a good job of removing the green fringe). Here is my problem: I either need to be able to independently resize the green screen footage and the background footage or I need to export the "transparent" green screen footage (into Camtasia, where I can easily size it and the background and where I want to create my video anyway). My preference is to export the "transparent" footage (as I am able to do in PP). However, although it is transparent in iMovie (showing black where there is no background and the background where it exists), it exports as BLACK, not as "transparent". Can you help me export as transparent or independently resize the background and green screen footage in iMovie? Thanks!

I’ve made extensive use of a simple Keynote slide deck with a green background, then exported as a movie file and brought into iMovie. It’s amazing for graphics, title effects, and just pushing the use of iMovie. Problem is - I’ve gotten so used to the Keynote/iMovie combo, I’m reluctant to graduate to DaVinci Resolve! I need Resolve for dozens of reasons including better audio, 3 or 4 layers and just a more professional result. Here we are in 2022 and I’m still using iMovie 🙁

Dear Nate, Please forgive me, and I feel it is ok to post this as we have the same 'haircut'! 😂 The biggest problem/most difficult lighting anomaly are reflections from polished surfaces e.g. your/my head, so I think short of wearing a hat, then making everything matt really works. perhaps this is why TV folks get powdered before reading the news? (and yes I did mean make-up powder, not the sort snorted from the top of a toilet cistern). Anyway, all jokes aside, your video is the most succinct and BOOM to the point I have found, thank you Nate, your a Grate Mate. 🏆

The head shine can definitely be an issue, but with proper lighting and enough distance from the green screen a nice shiny head can work no problem. :)

Yes. Just put them in front of the green screen along with your subject when filming. If it isn’t green it should work.
