I'm definitely IN! I lost 40 pounds on a green smoothie diet (not exclusively greens) and I intend to keep the weight off. I started down this healthy road 4 years ago and I've learned to love and find green smoothies an indispensable part of my diet. I bought some of the family Boutenko books and found them to be most helpful. Thank you, Sergei, for putting this challenge together. I'm a believer.

I finally got started drinking green smoothies yesterday. Now, I have IBS. I have to take pooh powder to keep me from being chained to the porcelain goddess. Which leaves me constipated and bloated and SO uncomfortable at times, that I break down into tears, it's so uncomfortable! And what bowel movements I do have? Rocks and pebbles. So. Yesterday I made a green smoothie - frozen chopped kale, mango, cilantro, green apples and I don't remember what else. I didn't get through half of the quart, almost got through half, but consumed just under that much. THIS morning, I had the closest to normal of a bowel movement that I have had in NINE MONTHS! I had to share how quickly results happen even when you don't drink the whole quart! Thank you, Sergei Boutenko! may you have an abundantly blessed day!

I am already convinced of the effects of a raw diet (having felt AMAZING levels of energy from just adding a morning smoothie and salad a day for a few weeks) and I want to thank you and your family for playing a major role in my altered nutritional intake. Hi if you add a small bit of raw ginger & a slice of lemon, to every green smoothie, it will make any smoothien, however bitter the greens, taste great.

I work night shift so for me if I knew what the recipe was for tomorrow I could pick up the ingredients at the 24 hour supermarket on my travels through the night. K Gilbert Meetup.com is a fantastic resource for herding people together with common interests. Right with you on spending money on organic smoothies. It's the centerpiece of my food program. Add an avocado and it's a meal. Use coconut water instead of plain water and it's delicious!

Hello. What if you have blood sugar issues such as diabetes? How do these smoothies affect that? My doc said to avoid drinks like this because of the sugar content.

+Mona Gallant fruits give out a lot of natural sugar which doctors tell diabetics to watch out for especially in such high doses as what appears in green smoothies.

Just skip the fruit if you are worried about sugars. But having said that, try 100% plant based (no animal products and dairy) eating for 3 weeks. Type-2 diabetes is usually reversed by then. Then you can start eating fruit normally again.
