Green Tint on Nintendo Switch OLED

Theres a green tint on Switch OLED :( I Hope that Nintendo will improve the black theme of their switch.

That’s why i kept the original switch with LCD screen yes it isn’t as nice looking but less problems in the long run

My first OLED switch that I received a week ago had these green tint issues, returned that and got refunded and ordered another one coming the day after tomorrow, I will see if that also have the same problem I will return it and get switch V2 (extended battery) version.

Bro if you adjust the brightness of oled it became brightfulnes however the v2 even if you adjust the brightness it has still green screen issue

The dark theme is gray, not black. It's for everything - Samsung, Apple, KZbin, Photoshop...etcs. You will see this issue on all games having grays - Limbo, Dark Souls, Diablo 2 Remastered etcs.

To see the green tint clearly, try playing persona 5 strikers. The first loading screen with the top hat on the lower right portion will reveal the extent of the green tint. I uploaded a video of it in my channel.

I had this issue was very sad 😞, but since I already have a 13 pro max Oled I returned it and still have my Mario red switch and I bought the Pokémon switch lite for $190

It is a firmware issue, the pixel drivers aren’t calibrated to handle the dark colors

Its most likely a hardware issue so there will never be a fix for current devices.

Was going to get oled but after seeing all the vids about green tint I got the switch v2 green tint would bother me 2 much

Im Buying v2 instead of oled cause there is no difference? Only the screen size and vivid colors and that's it ? But it has lots of issues like burn in and green tint so i prefer buying the v2 its the same

@@checob224 sadly but that doesnt mean its normal, I've had a lot of Oled Screens TV, Smartphones all of them perfectly fine withouth issues or green tints.

Is this noticable in a game? Like when there is a large grey area and you set it to low brightness? This green tint issue kinda put me off to get the oled one

no its not, actually i didnt know that oled has this issue . It looks great still. I think the reason why we see green is because of the bck light of the screen and because the black theme in switch is not black at all or washed out thats why you can see some green but you can only see that if you look closely. 😍

@@AndySwitchGaming ah so it's like that. Switch oled looks great. I like the larger screen and thinner bezel. The colors are more vibrant, but in some games, I think it looks too much (oversaturated). I haven't tried it in person, only watching reviews and gameplay vids on KZbin. And then this green tint issues came out, makes me afraid purchasing one. Because the switch oled price in my country is still not normal, arround $450 in usd

i think no. I think it only appears if theres a gray background because it reflects the backlight of the screen. But most of the games that i uploaded are fine. No need to worry.

Nintendo tiene un problema, siempre ha optado por componentes y mano de obra baratos. Yo compré hace un tiempo una Nintendo Switch OLED Blanca y me percaté de ese detalle, es molesto saber la pasta que has soltado para esto, nunca he visto algo así, menos recién comprada. Bueno, resulta que decidí deshacerme de ella y compré otra en color neón y adivinen, igual tiene tinte verde. Resulta que son 8 de cada 10 Nintendo Switch que tienen esta deficiencia. Nunca he visto una que no lo tenga, por cierto. Estoy decepcionado, en vano cambié mi v1.1 por esta basura. No la recomiendo, Nintendo debe solucionar el problema así como su fraude con los Joycons.

Ojalá fueran 8 de cada 10 , lo tienen todas, lo que si puede pasar es que te toque una con el problema más evidente, pero en general toda las oled tienen ese problema por qué están usando paneles de baja calidad

If you set the System > Change Display color to grayscale, do you still get green tint? I am just trying to think of ways to easily produce and test this when buying one
