Great Spanish music at the end. I love the fish choice as well! To my eye, it looks like the scape needs plants one level lower, at least one more 'path' of UG, to draw the eye upward. As it is it looks a bit two dimensional, but this is my own opinion. I always appreciate and respect all the amazing work on this channel, and by the amazing creators. I am not a really big fan of Iwagumi, but Tommy always makes me a fan of his creations. Take care.

Tommy - love your Iwagumi scapes, and you've inspired me to start my own. Do you have any advice for scaping a 60p iwagumi that will be visible from two sides (dividing two rooms)? Usually the back is sloped up to create depth, but how do you achieve this when you need it to be viewed from both sides?
@GreenAquaShop Жыл бұрын
Ideally, these 2 sides of tanks could be deeper. So we can build the structure on the center part and still have some slope. If you still planning this, be sure to have a 50-60cm deep aquarium. Otherwise, you may need to use thin rock pieces, and the whole structure will be more like a 2D scenery.

How do you deal with nerite eggs on the glass and hardscape? Do you just do your best to pick males only or are you scraping the eggs off during regular maintenance?

We don't really care about them, I personally do not find it unattractive, but you could scrape them off with an ADA Pro Picker for example.

Great tank. One question though. You mentioned the importance of using 50% cycled water to prevent melting. With that in mind what was your water change regime. If you did your normal 50% water change daily for the 1st week you’ll very quickly dilute the ‘cycled’ water to negliable amounts in a very short space of time. So what was the water change/maintenance routine. Thanks again and more iwagumis please
@happybubble48632 жыл бұрын
the actual water doesn't contain much beneficial bacteria, as long as the filter was preserved, keeping the old water wasnt really necessary, i think they mostly did it as an extra measure :)

Wow, I really didnt like the scape till the final shot.... b-roll... Why is it for me so hard to create a perfect scape? I cant see the future... You can :D Looks beautiful. Iam by thinking about the new layout of my 50l tank...This is a big inspiration. I have got also a question.. I know UG likes soft water with low KH, GH... is the seyriu stone not a problem here? How do you trim the UG? How often? 👌

@r0dani3lb2 жыл бұрын
Very nice scape. I have a question thought. Don't you have issues with GH and KH because of the Seiryu stone ? I also have a tank with maybe less then 10 kg but I have huge problems as the GH and KH increase quite quick (I have reverse osmosis water) and actually montecarlo starts to suffer because of KH...

Congrats guys. That’s a really interesting tank. However I think that the biggest rock, the one at the top doesn’t look so natural. In my opinion it’s too obvious that this rock was placed there by someone and somehow glued. U could place another rock near the base of this one to make it look bigger. So the gravity center would look more natural.

I have a question about Amazonia Ver 2. I have a small Blau tank that I filled up with it and added few dragon stones I had sitting in a box and added few buce’s and anubias mini’s and one pinto and used a silly 3w reading light on top in a dark corner of my attic and forgot about it but the usual cleaning glass and hob filter; purigen in tea filter bag in it, no fish no snail no shrimp nothing! 3 wks passed and Pinto grew two new leaves and all doing great, then mini buce’s started to melt and I thought omg must be amonia spike and so I halved the substrate and added plata sand; then daily 15% water change, and buce’s do ok but anubias all died .. what did I do wrong ?
@GreenAquaShop6 ай бұрын
Probably, the pH value has changed, and Anubias is sensitive to that sometimes more than Bucephalandra.
