I love that you think like someone who is actually cooking at home. Making the most of oven time and not using 15 plates and bowls to make 1 salad. I’ve found clean eating a challenge because the amount of work prepping is so much greater than the satisfaction from food. Your videos are refreshing in that they are realistic. Thank you!

My dad is on a huge clean eating kick because of his health issues but he has been eating a ton of sprouted mung salad. In India we soak dry mung beans for a few days until we start seeing their sprout tails, then eat them raw with chaat masala [a super tangy spice mix which is amazing with raw veg or chickpeas], lime juice, diced tomato and a little diced onion! Try that too!

Very nice, especially that last one, delicious. You might want to tell everybody here that youre using a VITAMIX. Youre not going to be able to mix the grass with the water in 5 seconds with a regular blender. A Vitamix is a magical machine which has many other uses. It's worth looking into these by watching some KZbin videos. They are expensive but worth it. Theyre not just blenders. You can make juices, soups, nut milks, etc, etc .
@Greenhealthycooking2 жыл бұрын
Yes, the Vitamix definitely helps but I've made the cilantro water in cheap Oyster mixers before and it works, too.

I grew up in Germany and my parents would buy real maple syrup at a specialty store and literally count the drops we were allowed to put on our pancakes as kids because it was so so so expensive, ha. Now, living in Canada I am happy that I can finally pour a generous amount into my desserts. YUM!

I do mine on a regular pot with1 cup rice to 3 cups water, I do that because when I put lid completely on at the start, the buildup seeps out the side of the pot so I tilt the lid for half the cook time to reduce a little then seal the lead the last half of cook time. Then I take it off the heat and let it rest 5 min. I've noticed my rice came out nice. The next day the rice was a little more fluffy like pilaf. I also had done the rice recipe with spinach blended with broth and water.
