Bummer. Glad I didn’t spend my hard earned cash on a sinker. My cousin had a seadoo 10 years ago. Had maintenance done to it at dealer. It sank minutes after taking it for a ride. Yamaha makes the most reliable machines out of the bunch Land or water.

And yet the vast majority of seadoos are absolutely fine.

Never had any issues with any of my Doos. Had two Yamahas, one blew up. Stx12 also blew up with 50 hours.

What is the pitch of the OEM impeller?
@chrisstone19333 жыл бұрын
You think adding a more performance style wide clamp would help that issue for the seadoo? Or is it just make sure they are always tight.
@GreenHulkGarage3 жыл бұрын
Making sure they are tight is all that is necessary. I typically replace the clamps with better ones just to be safe!

Have you had any further issues with the ski since the hose popping off ? Happened to me and it over heated, my motor was fully replaced at 5 hrs should i have any concerns for it to happen again ?
@GreenHulkGarage3 жыл бұрын
We have not had any more issues. I would just make sure all of your coolant lines are tight!
@arqjavierobregon3 жыл бұрын
I do not understand why you don’t change it to the Riva open loop cooling system it is the best mod you can get for the crappy Seadoo’s close loop cooling system

Greg, you are doing some great narration and editing. I too have a 21 PX. I installed a can and tightened what I thought was every hose clamp. I tightened both of the oil cooler lines near the rear of the engine, but did not check AT the cooler..... I don't really want to pull the intake to check those clamps. I am concerned since yours just failed. Your thoughts?
@GreenHulkGarage3 жыл бұрын
Thanks! I would absolutely take off the intake manifold and check the ones at the cooler. The lines at the cooler seem to be the most common to fail. It isn't complicated; the intake manifold is surprisingly easy to remove and it is well worth the worry-free riding afterwards!
@tracyenlow83443 жыл бұрын
@@GreenHulkGarage Greg, aren't the clamps on the oil cooler end Oetikers? I haven't looked at mine with a mirror, but the shop manual shows they are crimp on style. Have you seen Oetikers from the factory fail? If that is happening, they have some very basic training issues at BRP.
@GreenHulkGarage3 жыл бұрын
That is correct! The oetikers from the factory are what fail and I typically replace them!

@@GreenHulkGarage A little story for ya…..I picked up my 2021 PX from dealer in NOLA, stopped at boat ramp on my way home, made it 1/4 mile from the dock and blew hose off under intake manifold🤦🏻♂️!!!! Replaced or tightened EVERY clamp on the machine!! 60 hrs later, no issues.

Does the airbox have some weight to it?
@GreenHulkGarage3 жыл бұрын
the air box is heavier than the power filter kit. I do not think that the weight of the air box is substantial enough to hurt the performance. The factory air box is more restrictive than the power filter setup which is why the power filter performs better
