It's honestly kind of shocking that Roblox hasn't just made the decision to start tagging the '🍆' and '🍑' emojis. They are literally NEVER used within child friendly contexts... It's as if Roblox is fine with children getting groomed and interacting with inappropriate content. Like this would literally be such an easy fix... I can personally confirm this since when I was younger and more gullible, I used to play meepcity when it was on the rise and I can say that there’s a lot of creeps lurking there. They asked for nudes, my address, and were behaving very inappropriately towards me for a game that’s supposed to be moderated and safe for kids. I was able to avoid these people by blocking them and reporting them but some minors clearly aren’t so careful or aware and I’ve seen plenty of times minors actually sharing things they should NOT be sharing. This is a seriously dangerous situation and could put a lot of kids in danger. Please be fully aware of the risks that take place here, because meepcity is not taking responsibility

As a game developer.. Bios shouldn’t be removed; instead, a regex filter could exclude certain characters. The issue isn’t with the bios themselves but with how the feature is managed. If the developer applied all possible safety practices, moderation needs(what roblox has to offer) would decrease, and any remaining responsibility would fall on Roblox, given their lack of adequate safety features.

When you're making a game in roblox studio and you add somenthing like a bio, roblox does not make automatically a filter for it, the development actually needs to add manually, so alexnewtrow could purposely do not add a filter.

i was a kid on roblox who played meepcity during its peak of ODers parties. I am SO thankful I never stumbled across an inappropriate party but its sad to see a game that seemed to be looking up falling to ashes again.

On topic: Meep city always goes back to its roots I guess…I remember when meep city was just a cool game where i can role play with other people in the same fandoms as me and make cool outfits, and even before that when I can just take care of my meep and design my house the way i like it. But now it’s just solely crowded with weirdos who take advantage of the game’s mechanics to make it heavily inappropriate 😕..

This update terrifies me. It terrifies me to know that children still have to go through creeps on that game. They were in parties all the time, which is where I’d meet them constantly. It’s more of a risk to be taken advantage of than it was when I use to play. I’m glad they got rid of parties nowadays, even though I use to join and host gaming parties all the time as a kid. Now there’s another issue that they probably won’t take action on until it’s too late.
