doing 20 point rules are way to hard. Most chess rules are like 1 - 9 points, and even when we know the rule we still have to figure out the point value, if we guess too big we have the opposite problem if we guess too low it doesn't fix it. We cant compare the bots decisions to anything if its 20 points, it will just always do that.

+1000000 * the distance our king is away from its starting square. +10000 if our king is in check. +100 for each piece (either color) on our home rank. that probably does the trick regardless of what lemon would have made.

@@ieat948bushes in this video lemon said we are not allowed to inflate the piece value across the board such that all previous rules become irrelevant. the rules I suggested circumvent these rules by having nothing related to piece value (though my rules would probably be vetoed for having too large numbers anyway) but I think your suggestion would not be allowed despite it technically not being what lemon explicitly said was not allowed which was a straight multiplier of piece value.

it's better to stick to just saying a rule like that is banned for every pufferfish attempt insted of allowing it when it doesn't matter. because that gives away that it doesn't matter (and will waste time in later streams when chat checks to see if the rule is banned this time or not)

Couldn't chat defeat all the sabotage by adding a rule multiplying piece point value differential by 1000 (i.e. queen is worth 9000 pts?) Then the 3 turn evaluation wins out over a 550 bot like you mentioned
