It’s marvelous that we live in an age where we can in the privacy of our homes explore options that initially to think about them are terrifying….but after viewing this video and becoming educated, making a decision is less terrifying. Thank you Doctor for this posting.

Very interesting Doctor. Really enjoyed this. You've now got me wondering what the difference is between Green Light and HoLEP surgery are. I'll have to do some research. I just hope it's not to technical. Thanks for the work put into these videos!

Thanks for the info I am now at that stage where meds don't work for me. My doctor gave me some literature on each of these procedures. Your video has helped me make up my mind on which procedure to do

What if treatment is needed later: how easily can the staples be removed from the prostate.

I had a Urolift about 3-4 years ago. It worked. Until it stopped working last fall, so I'm looking at laser treatments now.

@@TheProstateClinicTPC Thank you. I had the Green light laser surgery like 3 weeks ago now. Some issues for recovery but overall getting better each day. Just having trouble with the bladder spasms...I will urinate - and things will be ok for a while then BANG, the almsot painful urge to pee hits me again. I'm still getting up 5 times a night to pee....will be seeing my urologist for a follow up next week.

Would a 68 cc prostate be a candidate for an urolift

My recommendation would be either Rezum or GreenLight

I am a 60 yr. old male with an asymetric prostate. Almost like a third one. I am not an ideal candidate for a Urolift, and my Urologist suggested a Holep procedure. My Dad at my age had a TERP performed and still could produce semen upon ejaculation. Is the TERP procedure a better solution than the Holep? Good video and thank you

Hi John thx for your question. Both treatments are forms of cavitating surgery with the same aim of unblocking your bladder. You should get a good outcome with either as long as your surgeon performs many of the surgeries that he or she is recommending. Surgical volume with a particular operation is a significant factor in its success. Good luck👍🏻
