There’s something so calming and reassuring by the sound of his voice and the way he speaks. If the end of the world was coming, or instance ww3 maybe even an alien invasion or they do exist I’d want the information broadcast by him 💯 😂 Great for motivation and yet to read his book the other half has wrapped it up for Christmas before I could get my hands on it!

Bumper stickers. It was over 20 years ago. It was a huge, gnarly logging truck carrying trees stumps 6-feet in diameter. Not just that, it looked mean. Then I saw the blue-green friendlly-looking bumper sticker ... "Earth First! . . . and I confusingly sort-of felt better until I read... Will Log Other Planets Later"

He talks of God like he knows/looks up to/believes in "him" (not necessary in this book, I would not know, I stopped when he started cursing)....then on to curse and make movies that do not reflect this claim. I do pray that he does truly find Jesus, he could win a lot of souls.
@TheLuckyShepherd4 жыл бұрын
He says a lot of words while saying nothing at all. Lol. Hes such a great speaker but it's really just a bunch of stories filled with meaningless platitudes or bumper stickers, as he calls them. "Some times you gotta go backwards to go forward." Lol ok, I cant use that advice in life, at least not without getting a ticket or tripping over something but damn, it sounds good. I reccomend buying 12 Rules for Life or pre-ordering Beyond Order 12 More Rules for Life. Jordan Peterson's voice and cadence isnt quite as hypnotic but it's more practical advice.
@davyroger37734 жыл бұрын
You cant use that in life? You have to look deeper than surface level if your going to give an actual critic. Going back and looking over your past decisions mistakes and successes before moving forward on something its great advice.
@TheLuckyShepherd4 жыл бұрын
@@davyroger3773 Hm let me give this platitude thing a shot. (Matthew McConaughey voice) "Never go backwards in life, in fact, remove your rearview mirror and put your foot on the gas. Dont worry about red lights and green lights and live life like your on the german Autobahn, full speed ahead!" There ya go, free advice. Lmaooo
@PigsNLemons3 жыл бұрын
You might have missed the deeper meaning about this particular Life. An optimist by nature with humor and humility as teachers. And more importantly, great talent and resilience. Success. Don't you want to find his secrets, dig them up and maybe, potentially, apply them to your experience? Transformative theory is meant to be applied, not just digested and recognized. ''Contracts I have made with myself''[...]. ''Rights of passage'' [...]. It's a love letter to life. I'm cheap, and I'm fun. Good luck to you and may the immediate experience of your surroundings appear more kindly to your inclinations.
@TheLuckyShepherd3 жыл бұрын
@@PigsNLemons Deeper meaning?!? Lmao these are the shallow side of thoughts I was having in my teenage years. If you think this is deep you got a lot more coming in life, assuming you can swim well enough to get out of the shallow end. I have an IQ of 137 so these bumper sticker platitudes arent "deep", sorry.
@PigsNLemons3 жыл бұрын
@@TheLuckyShepherd Alright, I was trying to show you how to advance out of the cavern. It was all a covert-op, a coup, to make JLS see deeper into himself. It's not a competition in literature. Just symbols of meaning talking to a void filled by organic points of view. If it were a race, we'd all be reading Krierkegaard, Holy Books or scientific essays, like peak-performance drugged-up track-horses. I liked McConaughey's words here. They met my criterias.
