Greensboro officer killed at Sheetz in Colfax | An off-duty Greensboro police sergeant is dead after a shooting at the Sheetz on Sandy Ridge Road in Colfax Saturday afternoon, according to police.
Greensboro police said they have confirmed they're looking into suspects tied to the shooting. Earlier in the day, the North Wilkesboro Police Department said the suspects had been caught. GPD confirmed with us there is still an active search and can't confirm the suspects were arrested.
Around 4:00 p.m., Greensboro police said the suspects left the Sheetz headed westbound on I-40 West, driving a black Chevrolet Equinox with the NC plate KKA-4332. The car also has a Hertz Car Sales plate on the front. Investigators believe the suspects are in their early to mid-20s. One suspect is wearing a black hoodie, black sweatpants, black shoes, and green/gray toboggan. The other suspect is wearing a jean jacket with fur and gray sweatpants, with tennis shoes.

The fact that there is no physical description of the suspects--despite having detailed descriptions of their clothing, and their vehicle, tells us all we need to know. The "woke" policies of this Mayor, her Prosecutors, and Guilford County Judges pretty much guarantee that these suspects were repeat offenders, and had been let go multiple times after being arrested for previous violent crimes. We need to stop worrying about the feelings of these criminals, and start putting them away for a LONG time when they get caught, instead of continuously giving them a pass, until they do something horrible like this...

Instead of being sofa ninjas, most cops actually show up for work that few of us could do: it's disingenuous - and even cowardly - to submit cops and our military aren't between the average citizen and harm's way. Very sad, but how many incident people lose their lives by police. We never hear the numbers. For the most part, it goes unreported. Like i said, it's very sad.

Fact is more innocent people are killed yearly than cops. People now, no longer sad hearing of police killings. People view police by their actions towards the public. Which has declined extremely in recent years. More now than in any time with police being reported daily by news outlets for their crimes and civil rights violations. People have no sympathy for police who care only about officer safety and their lives than of innocent lives. "I shot him because I feared for my life" doe not justify for killing a 16yr old eating a cheeseburger in his car because a cop claims his car is stolen. Then the truth comes out the cop read the description of a stolen car wrong. No coward's salary is worth 100, 000$.

This is so senseless. We are losing officers who are to protect us. We also lost an officer in Oakland. This has to stop! My condolences to his family. He didn't deserve this. This man went to work to protect and serve his community. It's upsetting and I hope they find the criminals responsible.
