But I was reminded this past week how special --- and missed --- are the great voices from The Band. Loved the tribute Greensky did with Molly Tuttle hours after Robbie Robertson's passing but I longed to hear those soulful vocals once again. RIP Richard, Rick, Levon, now joined by Robbie.

Actually Emily he's spot on. Springsteen didn't use a mandolin in the song like the Band did. This is an homage to the band no matter who wrote it. It's like how Bob Dylan would play all along the watchtower in the style that Jimi Hendrix did after he made the song soooo much better.
