This is the music I listened to, locked away in my bedroom, as a 15 year old. Great band, great songs, great drummer (awesome groove/fills), a big influence in my musical education.

Had a free ticket in 75/76 at Leicester,s De Montfort hall . Had never heard of them but was hooked and went out an bought Spyglass guest the next day . Now have all the albums and frequently play them . Think the problem they had was the lack of a frontman that probably stopped them having more success.

Dave Lawson was in two other fine bands one The WEB whose album" l SPIDER" and the other SAMURI with their self titled album both two rare and excellent albums highly sought after by collectors of early 70's Prog / Rock .

Had heard of these guys a long time ago, but for some reason never ran across their music until recently. It's interesting that they were considered prog-ish, but with 2 keyboard players, they also kept it fairly sedate. I guess other prog players were already wearing capes and throwing daggers into their gear at that time, so maybe less flashy was the way to go.

I have a lot of prog inc all the Greenslade but it is/was music for mid 1970s grammar school 6th form common rooms and you can understand why punk occured... I was a snotty Comp. boy who left at 16 and never liked punk.
