Greensleeves itself is an old English folk song from sometime in the sixteenth century.

OMG it's insane how quickly and effortlessly Tim transfers from bass to tenor then back to bass if you weren't watching the video it would seem to be 2 different singers through those transitions. The 2 of them are a great harmonizing duet. Loved your take on this video.

Peter and Tim sing so well together...their voices are very different but they complement each other perfectly. The video was shot in one take...with the backdrop of the setting sun they couldn’t film it in segments or reshoot portions and then edit them together without it being obvious. So they couldn’t make any mistakes. Thanks for your reaction.

I loved your reaction and analysis! This is a great song, I love Peter and Tim's voices together, they make a great duo! :) Though I have to admit that the first time I heard this I was like.... "Isn't this 'What Child is This?'".... but now I know that Greensleeves was first... XD Great reaction! Thanks for sharing! See you next time, as always!

Yes, this is an old song - for a long time there was a legend that Henry VIII wrote it for Anne Boleyn but apparently the style is something like 40 years older than that. I love the way Tim gets to show off his range in this one, and he and Peter sound so good together.

This music was written in Henry VIII time. Some people think that it was written BY Henry for Anne Boleyn. Who knows? It's a beautiful song, and this is the very Best rendition that I have ever heard. The music is also used for the Christmas carol "What Child Is This?" which you might also have heard. So maybe Peter & Tim should do that one also... Anyway, Wonderful reaction, as usual. More, please!

From Wiki:''A possible interpretation of the lyrics is that Lady was a promiscuous young woman, perhaps even a prostitute. At the time, the word "green" had sexual connotations, most notably in the phrase "a green gown", a reference to the grass stains on a woman's dress from engaging in sexual intercourse outdoors.''
