My remote operates with off/on I came here looking for why my Thermostat option does not work. It's currently in off position and hitting thermostat button does nothing. What is the problem? Thx

My remote has worked for three years. I replaced batteries yesterday and now can't set the thermostat. When I push the thermostat/ thermometer nothing happens. I've replaced batteries in receiver at the stove and paired the two. What do I need to do? replace?

found it.hold the power button in and the thermistat in at the same time,take a battery out and put it back in.it reset and is working perfect

It doesn't seem to be IR, what remote tech is it? (it works like crap, I have to point it within a VERY specific area to get it to register) I would like to replace it with a 3rd party remote and perhaps change the remote tech but I need to know where to start.

DF - Which model of Travis is it? Your problem is most likely not the remote or the transmitter (though it could be). There is not a lot of space under the burner on many of these models and the most likely culprit is too much radiant heat transferring to the receiver. Try this: - If you can, wire the transmitter with longer wires and pull it out from underneath the insert / fireplace. Then try it... see if you can operate it from a greater distance. If you can, that's the problem. You can't use a different remote because it is concentric to that module.
