I'll be honest the first time i saw her i thought omg no one can be this insanely smiley and cheery all the time.. it must be a persona. But watching her family videos she shared on Newjeans channel made me realise, some people are just genuinely this joyful and happy and smiling and it is SUCH a good thing, its so sweet and so refreshing. I felt a bit sad because I realised I'm judging people who are cheerful like its gone out of fashion to be that way naturally...🥲

With NewJeans, they feel like real people who could be just up the road from me! All of their behind the scenes stuff reminds me of obsessively watching the bonus features on every movie because I love seeing the real side that went into making a lot of the things I love, and NewJeans show so much more soul than anyone else that I listen to, at least that is openly out there for fans to see

I love Danielle so much 😊😊😊😊 she's my ult bias. I wasn't into kpop until i saw her and Hanni's dinosaur argument. When i tell you her smile melted me 🥲 she doesn't even have to say anything and she still exudes positivity. I saw a lot of people saying she acted that way for attention 🤨 which is so wild to me since i think she and Hyein are the most underrated NJ members. I still haven't seen an idol that makes me smile like Dani and i hope the whole drama surrounding her group doesn't take away her smile. I'm already upset since I've seen what all the hate did to Eunchae. I hope she's always happy and safe 😊

Danielle’s one of the least popular members of NWJNs (with Hyein), which is really sad since she’s my bias. Id put her on the top for stable and beautiful vocals, and she’s a decent dancer and very expressive. But I find it interesting how much branding plays a role in this, as I think she’d be much more popular if she played into the “cool” vibe seen in her Hype Boy MV. She has a very cool visual/look, and so I feel if she was more badass than sunshine people would gravitate to her more just because it matches her appearance. That’s not to say I _want_ her to be that way - she became my bias _because of_ her bubbly personality - but I think K-pop is such an aesthetically driven medium that many fans hyperfixate on the visual brands of each individual member. I think if Danielle looked more cutesy (and ofc more Korean, since we know K-Netizens stance on half Koreans) then she would be a lot more popular. But I personally like the visual contrast, and think it’s silly that her vibe “needs to” match her immediate visual appearance; it’s a very superficial way to look at others.
