Cereal Killa but who do you bump off his top 5? Gotta keep Magic, Kareem and Worthy. The Spurs trio certainly stays. I can see bumping Miami for Bird, McHale and Parrish. Miami and GS could both drop out if it were me. I’d have: 1. 80’s Lakers 2. Spurs 3. MJ, Scotty and Rodman 4. Shaq, Kobe and Horry 5. Bird, McHale and Parrish

Yes they still trying to discredit kobe they want them to see kobe always have a super team. if you realize only Shaq and pau are the only superstar caliber he play Lamar and Fisher are not even all star they are good but not all star. Bynum is potentially and one time all star but his attitude and injury make him not star caliber Lakers have Glen Rice 1999-2000 but he played 27 only in 1st year and his number go down in the next year. And they forgot Kevin love Irving and lebron. Also Boston have rondo an all star and double double machine that time when he is Boston and avg 2 stl per game. And in Miami big 3 ray Allen is there also and still deadly in 3s in two years run.

@@98753741963 maybe Bynum gasol and kobe but I don't know if we say big 3 the 3 players is in the top 10 in their position. Wade in that time is in top 2 in sg position kobe in 1st James harden still young that Time Manu ginobli is not better that time. And Chris bosh is in top 5 in his position than time maybe 3. And that is a big 3. 2008-2010 odom is not even a top 10 pf in that time. Bynum is always in top 10 in that time so I guess Bynum gasol and kobe is the big 3 but he always injured. He never complete the 82 games in that 3 years 65 is the highest. And he did not played in 2008 finals in 2009 he just 6ppg 4.2rpg 0.6 apg 0.6 bpg not that effective and in 2010 he just avg 7.4 ppg 6.6 rpg 0 ap 1.3 bpg and lamar odom great number 13. 5ppg 9rpg 2008 13.4ppg 7.8 rpg 2009 7.6 ppg 6.6rpg 2010 good number but I can't consider it a big 3. So for me kobe and Shaq is a duo kobe and pau is also a duo. And kobe never have 2 all star caliber in his side. Wade is the franchise player of Miami before lebron came bosh is franchise player of Toronto before. Also Irving and love in Cavs and wolves. And this 4 can avg 20 points per game. Kobe never have 2 players can avg 20ppg only one so kobe always have duo. Not big 3. Kobe got big 4 but Payton is old and Malone too and they only play 1 year. They got big 3 Howard and Nash but Howard is not healthy and Nash is old and not also healthy. He got big 3 potentially dlo is young and randle too and his time is past that time because of Achilles and many injury after that injury. So I guess kobe never have a big 3 in his time I wish they get Chris Paul or Howard in 2011 maybe he got the 3 peats again and his 6 rings.

@@Me-sm9qk ginobili or parker didn't stand out when you look at their stats either but what the 3 of them did on the court when you were watching them made them a big 3. Odom was an integral part of their run. I believe he was more important than bynum though you can also argue about bynum being a big 3. There’s a reason why everyone was so pissed at Durant for signing with the warriors. If they are healthy, they go 3/3. If Durant re-signs with the warriors and they stay healthy, they keep winning. Injuries was the only thing stopping them. They are underrated. While it’s impressive the longevity of the Spurs trio, they had what no one on that list had...time together...and stability with a brilliant coach in pop. You give any trio on that list that time together, they win more than the Spurs do. And no, I wouldn’t put heatles in the top 5. The 80s Celtics would replace them.

@@RossRadikSherman I agree with this list but with one exception. I’d move the Celtics up one, and the Spurs to 5. If it wasn’t for ray allen, the Spurs should’ve taken both championships from Miami. The heat got rocked in the rematch too losing in 5 games. And we can’t forget the heat losing to the the Mavericks. The success of the heat was overrated bc the East was so weak, it was a sure thing they would be in the finals.

@@dustierbottoms The Spurs best player was Kawhi in that last title. Defensively, Kawhi was like a chicken with his head cut off, guarding the entire opposing team. Kawhi is still a beast on defense now, but he doesn't have the energy to run around the entire game and guard the entire opposing team the way he did when he was 21, 22. That spurs team play in the finals was the best teamwork I had ever seen from a team. It wasn't just the big four. It was Danny green, Boris diaw, it was everyone. I've rewatched game 3 four or five times. It was the best I had ever seen a team play.

@@dustierbottoms The Mavericks team that beat the heat had beaten the two time defending Lakers with a healthy Bynum, Gasol, Odom, and Kobe. Then, they beat a young okc team with Westbrook, Durant, harden, and Ibaka. Shawn Marion and Tyson Chandler were beasts defensively. Jason Kidd guarded Kobe, Westbrook, and Dwayne wade in back to back series. And offensively, Kidd was as good as ever at setting up his teammates. Despite all that, that Mavericks team would've lost if LeBron hadn't choked. If LeBron hadn't choked, that Miami team would be 3rd on my list. If losing twice in the finals is a disqualification from the list, then the only two teams that belong on the list are the warriors and bulls.
@dustierbottoms
@dustierbottoms 3 жыл бұрын
@@RossRadikSherman you actually raise a good point which totally slipped my mind...Kahwai wasn’t technically part of the big 3 that’s being discussed. The Spurs trio still did win 4 together, even if Kahwai was the best player on that team that year. And if you compare the stats in the last finals, Duncan, Ginobli, and Parker outplayed bosh and Wade. And you can also make an argument in the mavs final, Jason Terry had a bigger impact than Bron lol. I still have the Spurs there, simply bc I don’t think that heat team was that good. It wasn’t just that they lost two finals series, it’s how they lost, who they lost to, and how they won. They never dominated. Even the Shaq/Kobe lakers were more dominant and if they played the heat head to head, I have the lakers dismantling the heat. Shaq/Kobe/insert random laker player are still ahead of the heat trio on my list. You’re right about the mavs - they were a good team - they finished with the second best record in the league, tied with the lakers. But the lakers were a mess that whole season. Odom and Bynum played half the reg season (and this was before Bynum peaked and was constantly dealing with being injured). The team was burned out from winning back to back championships. I even think Phil was diagnosed with cancer or something that year and I think that was also odoms last year in LA. They were a team in turmoil. The baby thunder just werent ready yet, young talent often loses to experienced vets in the playoffs. Despite cruising into the finals, no one had the Mavs beating the heat. The heat were heavy Vegas favorites and they were also picked by the majority of talking heads and sports analysts. And you even said it yourself, if Lebron showed up, they beat the mavs. He didn’t. The only convincing win by the Heatles was beating the baby thunder. Ray Allen just happened to be at the right place at the right time when Bosh randomly tipped out that rebound. It was a fluke play. And we saw how the Spurs just rolled them the next year. I was more impressed at how the Spurs and mavs easily destroyed the heat than when they beat up on a young OkC team. That’s why they don’t make my top 5.

It was a weak league though. Name another team during the Bulls prime that had another dynamic trio to counter them? They were the only one in the 90's to have a Dynasty level team. The 80's had about 4 or 5 dominant trios including the Pistons/Celtics/Lakers.. the 00's had Spurs/Celtics/Lakers, the 10's had the Spurs still, with the Heat, the Warriors, the Cavs. Seriously... consider what expansion in 1989 did to shallow the depth of talent in the 90's. It took a good decade for the NBA to increase its depth by expanding their influence overseas and that is when the Dirks of the world started flooding the league making the league deeper. Jordan and Pippen dominated a very thinned out NBA in the 90's. Granted it got more difficult for them in the later half as it was starting to recover.. but still.. no team in the league had a roster with a trio of stars that had a hope to match them. People rave about the Knicks but seriously.. look at that team.. it was Ewing with a bunch of role players. The fact they came close a couple times to defeating the Bulls in the post season is a marvel in itself considering the gap in talent between the two teams.

Rico Wright Bill Russell was a better rebounder than wilt, being 5 inches shorter and a hell of a lot lighter still averaged more rebounds/minute in his career than wilt. Also you have to take into account how much the rebounding statistic was inflated back in the 50-60’s. It’s very difficult to compare Rodman or players from the 90’s to players from the 60’s. Rodman could honestly be the greatest rebounder of all time, it was much more difficult to grab a rebound in the 90’s than the 60’s. But these Jordan fan boys act as though the Bulls played these all time great teams in their title runs lol. The Bulls played teams that had one All Star and a bunch of role players. The 1990s was the most watered down decade in NBA, with teams like the Minnesota Timberwolves, Toronto Raptors and Vancouver Grizzlies entering the league. The freaking Vancouver Grizzlies best player was what Big Country Reeves lol, and the Timberwolves' best player was freaking Pooh Richardson. The Toronto Raptors best player was freaking Damon Stoudamire lol. So all the good teams in the 90s were assured 6 to 8 wins playing these teams. Of course superstars overshadow the rest of the team it's been like that in the NBA since its exsistance. Take pp of Boston before the big 3,bosh and lbj off the heat,shaq and Kobe off the lakers,Payton and Kemp off the sonics..... You see how dumb your argument is??? The Clippers beat the Warriors after trying to tank and trading Harris,Portland was steam rolling in the playoffs as the under dog. It's a team sport not an individual sport.

The pre-Rodman post 1st retirement from MJ Bulls team was sorely missing Horace Grant and the defense and rebounding he provided. Enough so that they traded Will Perdue to the Spurs for a Dennis Rodman that I guess some thought was too much of a problem to deal with. That one move led to those championships. Up to a point on the latter part of that argument. I felt the rules changes were made in the mid 90s, after the Pistons had molded their style according to the rules in place, in the late 80s, but right after them the Knicks, under Pat Riley who I feel learned from Chuck Daly how to bring a rough team into the NBA and win with that style of defense (having lost to them while coach of the Lakers in the 80s). If you ask me it was those two teams, Pistons & Knicks coached by Daly & Riley, bringing down scoring averages with stellar defense played 'by the rules', that were responsible for commissioner lightening up what defenses could get away with, that changed the whole equation. And yes, I'd put Bird, McHale, Parish in the top 5 also.

Nah physicality was the same from 80s to 90s, but defense in late 90s to early 2000s was the highest level ever. 80s was an offensive era (not like today, but far more so then 90s)...

I really think people overrate rodman...he was not the same in 97 and by 98 he was trash..they only remember 96 rodman...who was motivated...and still in his prime.he was out the league by 99..he was trash in the 98 playoffs...dudes playing 27 minutes scoring 2 points on 25% fg and 50% ft getting 7 rebs and 1.5 stl/blks combined and 1-2 assist ..gtfoh….he was never that good but he was trash that playoffs...especially in the finals

LMFAO!! I'll answer the question this way: In 2006 playoffs Dirk Nowitzki beat Duncan, Ginóbili and Parker without another All Star on his team.
