What is so great about Rabea is he is equally adept at all genres of playing. Slays the heavy riffs with the best of them and can have the subtlety and space of Gilmour. I find this makes his reviews appeal to a broad variety of players as there is something for everyone. Always look forward to his videos. Keep it up man. Greetings from Canada.

Baaaang..!!! You just made two of the best sounding reviews I have ever heard. Bravo to you Rabea, you seem to have a great heart, more than obviously have a great ear and great fingers, but the love is what comes the strongest through your playing and sounds and it feels good to hear someone that's all about vibration, not yet in a routine and doesn't seem about to fall into it. Anyway.. Just a huge bravo and thanks for the inspiration!! Wish you the absolute best that Light and Love can bring!!

@blee3621 Жыл бұрын
Definitely sounds great. But when you increase just the volume into an amp at breakup what you hear is just the amp further breaking up ie any boost could do that.

I wonder how this compares to the DOD/Shoe Pedal "Looking Glass". I think another OD Pedal Pete was using (I might be wrong) - however, another pedal that totally let your amp "live", sweetens everything just so! The problem for a demo though is that it has (too?) many adjustments and you have to dial alot until you really understand what it all does (pre gain filter, post gain bass cut, treble...). So, I recommend to first dial in what it uniquely does for your tone, before one should do a demo - there are quite a few demos around but they just capture what the pedal can do technically - not organically ;). Would be a great comparison.

It seems like there is a certain fizz that becomes more irritationg higher the gain on the amp and the pedal. Am I missing something? I still have high hopes for this pedal but the competition is tough with the Gain Changer, the Imperial overdrive, and even maybe Timmy, I have on my mind as of present.
@LeviBulger6 жыл бұрын

Rabea,I am so glad that I saw this video demo of the Greer Amps-Lightspeed Organic Overdrive pedal today,I always look online for overdrive pedals,but not the most common favorites lots of people use,I like the ones that get skipped over,and this is exactly what I am looking for,just a pedal that goes along with the amp being used to just boost the amps natural frequencies to bring the best possible sound out of the amplifier(s) used.i have to admit I have seen this one on ebay before but passed it up,well I will find one and order one probably Monday,I believe this is the one I need..You sure know how to set your gear up for the kill,and your playing blows me away ! I liked this whole video,from the clean to the filth the Greer OD pedal sounds amazing,and doesn't color the tone like most others..Thanks for a great presentation of an awesome pedal !

When you record these videos, is what you're hearing in the room the IR through your monitors? Or are you splitting the signal into a real cab also for your own listening pleasure? Just curious.

So you increase the loudness knob which essentially causes the signal to hit your amp harder. I wonder how much of your sound (with loudness knob up) is caused by your amp.
