Honestly Mike and Carol should’ve put a stop to this when Bobby wanted to come along on Greg’s date. Not sure why they acted like they were powerless here lol. Kinda their own fault that the car hood got messed up if you ask me

Actually, it was the convertible top that was damaged by Bobby. Greg was right. In 1972, a replacement top with installation would have been about $150-200. To be honest. You really can't put the blame on Mike and Carol. I think IMHO that they were trying to get Greg to understand that no bet is a sure thing and that there are consequences when you lose. It's just that they didn't anticipate that they would be out of $200 from Greg and Bobby's bet.😱🤦🏿‍♂️🤣

This was back in the good old days. When kids actually respected their parents. And parents were raising their own children back in the day when I was a kid. Parents back in the day we're a hell of a lot better than these parents are today in today's society. Just look at all the grandparents raising their own grandchildren these days. Since their own children doesn't want any of the responsibilities of raising their own children these days. And give them up to their own parents to raise them. Sad world we're all living in these days.

It really is. The Bradys are not known for being laugh out loud hilarious. But here they do a classic setup of short scenes that each build to something even funnier and ultimately - in the pie scene - outrageous. Bravo, Brady writers.

Bobby way over reaching. Only chores should have been on the bet and only during the day. Greg should be free to have his evenings for him to do what he wants without Bobby interfering.

I didn't have kids but I taught school. NO growing boys had that many pairs of shoes. They had sneakers and ones that weren't sneakers LOL.

This episode of the Brady Bunch is my favorite and it tough me a valuable lesson to never get into a bet where the loser has to do everything the winner tells them to do because there are going to things I don't want to do and I could be taken advantage of like what Bobby did to Greg.

I'm an English tutor. Yes, Bobby used a double negative here. However, he used it correctly---to mean a positive. Most people who use double negatives intend to convey the opposite of what they actually say.

Greg's got a point. Dates are different. Doing Bobby's chores is one thing but allowing Bobby to accompany him on a date with a girlfriend is another. Face it, Bobby is taking advantage of his older brother's generosity, and no good can ever come of that. Mike and Carol need to put both their feet down and tell Bobby enough is enough!

The bet was supposed to last a week. Greg should've waited until the week was over to ask Rachel for a date. And yes there should've been limits. Bobby shouldn't have let the other siblings demand things of Greg and Greg shouldn't have had to pay for Bobby to go to a movie from his own money.

I would've never taken Bobby if I was Greg. I would have faked being sick and called Rachel and postponed the date until the next week. The bet would have been over by then.
