To be 100% fair, Greg should've asked if his exact words thing could've started at the present moment he was making this deal. He was being held to exact words he'd spoken before all this happened. But since he didn't think of it they held him to his exact words no matter how long ago they were spoken. It's rough to have to give up the rock concert for a stupid frog jumping contest. And the money he spent on the tickets.

@@MisterMikeTexas This particular episode painted Greg as a weasel. He usually was not this lowdown or scheming ... just girl crazy and into waxing the surfboard and sometimes writing really dreadful pop songs, LOL. I think character behavior sometimes depends on who is writing that week's script, and once in a while they'll make a character act different. Kinda stupid, really ... you'd think _someone_ at the table read, maybe Sherwood Schwartz or a producer or cast member, would chime in and say "But Greg isn't a total d!ck, like in this episode".

Good question. When I was growing up I had to wash the dishes for 6 people 2 or 3 times a day. My brothers didn't have to do anything but take out the trash (a 5-minute job) once every other week since there were 2 of them. How does that compare to washing the dishes 2 or 3 times a day? I'd have gladly traded with them. It was never a 5-minute job either.

The two BB episodes where Greg ends up having a lousy time at the drive-in movie are fun stuff. This one, "Greg Gets Grounded" (Exact Words and Frogs), and also "The Big Bet" one when he loses a bet with Bobby and ends up taking him on his date with Rachel. Hope Juber, daughter of show creator Sherwood Schwartz, played Rachel in both episodes, and also two other roles in different episodes of the show.

Yes. Hope was in Marcia's slumber party episode, I think, as Jenny Wilton, the girl Marcia that originally thought that set her up for the drawing that got her in trouble. She was also in the final episode when Greg's hair turned orange. BTW. Closing credits have her as Hope Sherwood.

Hang on, how did he _not_ go against the parents' wishes? First he drove recklessly with a child in the car, then got caught and punished, then he drove a friend's vehicle while grounded without car privileges and when caught he made up that whole "You just said 'you're not allowed to drive the car', you didn't say anything about other cars" b-llsh-t. Plus, buttering up Mike about the architecture plans just to try and get his way, that was lowdown and sleazy. Greg got what he deserved in this story line: an annoying wakeup call about being such a crafty and manipulative jerk.
