I've always struggled with understanding my artistic expression. And I'm old so i know it's hard! Singing, drawing. Never been able to figure it out completely why i don't value it. I'm just weird with it. I think a channel based on mentoring and motivating that journey to production and understanding it would be precious. I've looked you up and popped a follow jreg. ❤😊❤

Hey, hold your horses cuz I'm not holding mine (my friendly horse that wrote the "hey" is named Bill!). I do need to hold my newspaper though because, Frank, since, by the skin of your teeth, that's what my phone morphed into so as to not upset the space time continuum when in the midst of a perfect storm going on a wild goose chase developing bee's knees to fall 1920s, and because I'm not the bright bulb in the crayon box...can't remember how to count my chickens without it, so don't want to put my foot in my mouth saying anymore....the point is I just saw your new skit! And I'm over the moon! So thanks for another gift with this interview in the same day! I'm still subscribed to Greg after you recommended him. Hope you're having an a-may-zing month! Because you're helping make mine!

I was hoping to have some thing. Wonderful to listen to on my commute! I’ll probably post again after I watch the video :-) thanks for spoiling us again this week. I hope all is well. Thanks for all you do. I have my Skech group tonight, so hopefully I will be able to absorb everything you talk about before!

Thanks for this. Your discussion about taking yourself seriously as an artist is helpful -- that's been a struggle for me. I find it very hard to market myself because of this. I'm learning to just do the footwork anyway. I also appreciated the discussion about conscientiousness / perfectionism. Perfectionism can absolutely kill my productivity.

Wow, that was very interesting and thought-provoking! I loved how you both touched on being KZbinrs (and how it always seems to come back to that, lol) in this creativity talk. I related to this so much as a person who has been close to both ends of the spectrum of doing what others are doing to only doing what I want, as well as the agreeableness factor that has sometimes held me back from doing things I wanted to do. I liked that you guys incorporated the Big 5 into this discussion. I don't want to write too long a reply, so I'll just finish and say: Great talk Frank and Greg! 😊✌

Just finished! Some thoughts from a random, semi novice writer and complete internet stranger. Condensed, because I don't think anyone wants to read 20 paragraphs of me going on and on. I'm subscribed to JReg too so hearing your conversation was really cool. I would absolutely pay for mentoring. I think there is no shame in paying for your time and expertise, isn't that the dream? To get paid to do what you love? For the person paying, it would be an investment into their creative endeavors. Why wouldn't I pay a stranger to share their knowledge and time with me? Especially if it would help me achieve my goals AND if they've been successful? A quick thought I had when you were discussing catering to audiences, I don't remember the exact part of the interview. I love writing, I'm getting some success with a few projects I'm working on, but I'm still working a full-time job, so I'm exhausted most of the time... and I love the things I'm doing and to me they're interesting and a little niche, but if I was offered a million dollars to write a Barney movie, I'm doing it. Let me write some purple dinosaur jokes and take a half year off to do the things I love and not have to worry about money :) That may not be the point of what you were talking about, but it was just a thought. I imagine that had to have been hard when your channel started changing and people pushed back, then there are the highs and lows. Going from being pretty raw to strictly doing comedy and teaching and putting up those hard boundaries is a really big change. No matter how earnest you are or how much you want to move people, you will always be performing in a way when the camera is in front of you, when it's both your passion and your job, so everything really is a performance in a way. I'm hoping you keep finding the things that work for you and you stick around for a long time. :) Don't burn yourself out. I like your stuff and you seem like a good guy in general, just a vibe I get so I'm rooting for you. Also- superficially- I love that shirt on you FJ. This comment was too long, apologies.

Thanks for this conversation, Frank. In one of your previous videos you asked in the comments what we wanted, and this is a reason I never wanted to tell people what I like, and make a distinction between tastes (personal preference/fandom/favorites emotion that's not contingent on others) and the "best" (most potential for universal appeal to uplift and unite people), which is circumstantial imo since for an example something can be wonderful for expanding children's imagination (like Star Wars episode 1 which was awful imo), where it would have weaker craftsmanship in most adults' minds, in order to help innocent development because I know what I like won't appeal to people and, well, even if I wasn't a fan, I still hope everyone to do well, but especially because I'm fan of yours, I don't want to say anything because I like discussions like this, which doesn't have many views...you kinda called something related out in your ENFJ 16 personalties million subscribers video, which helped me think "good grief what a relief!" But, as I think you brought up here, please know others hope you do whatever is best for you and your family! And we may or may not be doing our own thing in the comments where that's a reason why I don't think creators can listen to what fans say they want instead really listen to know what they want...you're a dad, you understand...I mixed somethings there but "you get it", right? I listened at 2x speed multitasking so might have missed things, but you guys only scratched the surface. I appreciated it so much. I watched part of Jreg's music video about "snapping" which maybe he thought it was for comedy (I don't watch his videos, due to lack of time, and that was the last I saw).but I thought might have come from him feeling like a lone wolf, and maybe you might feel that way as well. Nice to hear him in good spirits here, or at least being strong with whatever might be going through! His song reminded me part of a Stone Sour demo "All I know" and Slipknot song "snap" I'd listen to when I was a kid, and thought he was struggling with something (haven't seen many videos and didn't finish it so could be way off!) My favorite Jreg skit was his song about being such a pathetic fence sitter would make someone even unworthy of going to Hell. I threw things in there again. teehee..gotta go! Have a great day! Oh, and your last English idiom skit! That would be my go to skit why I love your channel where I feel like Jack Skellington opening the door to wholesome Christmastown going "what's this?"

i don't think there is a theory of mind deficit in autism. the ‘double empathy problem’ is a much more accurate theory. these issues are not due to autistic cognition alone, but a breakdown in reciprocity and mutual understanding that can happen between people with very differing ways of experiencing the world.
