Boy, I wish Rayburn would be that mirror calm. We’ve just had rain and wind, then wind and rain. The spring has been ruined by the high winds. There’s that old saying, “The wind is your friend!”, but not the hurricane-like ones we’ve had. Good luck 🍀 on the tournament. You’ll do well.

Greg, when you switch to a different lure, can you take 10 sec and just explain and show how you are working it. For example with the jig, was it a very slow retrieve on the bottom or bouncing off the bottom or dead stick? I very rarely get to use a jig, so I am always looking to learn how to work different baits. Thanks. Love the videos. Learned a lot.

Did not fish it much back than but a great place to hang out. I did not have a Kayak back then but looking at it now I should head up there someday. I hope you do well in the tournament! Good Luck!

Awesome lake trout. If your ever up this way again hit up around shelving rock. I’ve landed Monster bass right off those rocks and around the island across from it. I had a few of the clutch bar buttons pop off on my Curados; I lost a couple of them too. I live around the corner from the Canadian Shimano service center and the techs there had a bunch of clutch bar buttons on hand. Apparently, the epoxy used to adhere the button to the clutch bar assembly wasn't doing the job. Nevertheless, the tech I deal with had all of my Curados fixed in a matter of 15 minutes. Great service and I haven't had a problem with my reels since. Hope you're able to get your Curado sorted too. Thanks for all the amazing content.

That was a pretty good day. Alot better then my lake. My lake sucks! I fished for 4hrs. Last Sunday and caught 1- small bass and a giant flathead catfish. The catfish was hiding in the shade behind a cypress tree. In about 1-2 ft. Of water. It gave me a great fight. It must have weighed about 30-35 #s and was about 4ft. Long. 🙂

Great Video Greg. I would have thought you might have tried a few other lures and not bet the whole tournament on one bait. Also, a lot of the guys in Texas don't land their fish during pre fish days. They let them shake off in hopes they might bite again on tournament day. Can't wait to see the next video. Best of luck.
