I grew up at Lake Berryessa have lived in Vacaville and Sacramento my whole life. So I do a lot of fishing around these Lakes. Berryessa has always been a struggle.

Fall bit are the best ever. I caught my best five fish yesterday bags of 23.7 at my favorite lake. Shore fishing. I got my PB also 5.10 in MN that monster. Love your channel.

I fish for two hours at one spot no bit and than I came to a spot that don’t catch any things. But within my second cast I caught my PB than it’s just on like that. Every two cast get a fish all from one spot. They all 4.1 to 5.10. Probably caught ten fish within 30 minutes. Just have to find where they school up. Don’t give up

I've found that when I can get them to follow but not commit I'll toss a weightless senko way out ahead of them and more often than not it'll get picked up. Give that a shot next time. I’d try the single 4-6 in swimbait on a 1/2 swimbait head. (Rainbow trout colours) There not wanting the larger bait nor the smaller finesse drop shot. Nice video

I’ve noticed the same thing with the smaller fish at that lake. I caught some pretty skinny, but long ones last weekend. Only the one spot that I caught had some thickness to him.

Man Greg, you need to get some 8” Hudds in ROF 5 and 12 and start throwing them across those tapering points and around the trees. Those fish are following that 250 in a lot. That doesn’t always mean the swimbait bite is on but it’s definitely not bad. Your channel will go nuts if you start catching 8 lbers on hudds. LOL! Give it a shot this fall and winter. You can do it dude!

I was there 5 days ago on the yak. Saw some with the A Rig which I didn’t bring. Very slow bite. Did catch a 3 lb. LB, a really nice small mouth, and bonus a 19” trout , which was yummy. Then went back with my friends bass boat and got skunked. He caught an amazing 12.5 lb catfish dragging a metal jig on the bottom. Slow bite again though. Thanks for the video Greg.

Fantastic content. I have been watching your vids since the Native Slayer was your ride. Question, are you are using the boondox Groovy landing gear or Sidekick? I have the sidekick on my Titan and they stick. Tried to get them out while I was in the Kayak and that was a disaster. I noticed you taking your wheels out prior to getting in and I imagine that will be the way to go in the future. If you know anything about the Sidekick gear sticking and have any tips that would be cool. Thanks

Berryessa sure is a beautiful lake with all those mountains. But I’m sure most the California lakes have better scenery than the Texas lakes in that regard. Bought to start hitting up the power plant lakes here. Bite has been good and bad on the normal lakes down here. Haven’t had much time to get out since mid October when we had our Lonestar Throwdown tournament here it was down in central Texas on the Colorado river chain of lakes. Good times.

Berry is a great lake, though, and used to catch quite a few. The fire had to change things. I wonder if they don't have too much live bait. Was that a lot of insect activity. Might just be fat, and happy 😊 🤔
