the reason why people struggle with weight loss is because of videos like the one bestie put out. they always tell you what cant eat instead of how to eat what you want to eat. They always talk about calories in without mentioning calories out. its all about your net calories, not your gross calorie intake. half of the food mentioned is food I eat all the time and im doing just fine. lean meat, even if it is red, is extremely high in protein. probably the best thing you can eat while on a diet.

Hey Greg, appreciate your videos and you attitude in general. Your attitude towards intensity helped me to check my own excerption more accurately! Sometimes it is difficult to differentiat whether your muscle or your mental state is not able to do one more rep, but your screaming helped me to be more aware of this lol While I enjoy your food vids in general and think that your anabolic recipes are really good and satiating I would prefe it if you got more into "detail" in some aspects. E. g. while nothing is healthy or unhealthy in low doses processed meat is definitely something you should not have on a regular basis. I'm not sure how big the difference is between what you say in your videos and what you actually know, but since you have a big fellowship it is not good to basically say processed meat is good if the macros are good. This just leads to ignorant people who just look at macros and actually don't know anything besides those about the foods they are consuming. In general I think there is a difference whether you don't care about organic and sustainability in general (which I think is an important factor in food choice) or if you just disregard any possible health drawbacks (processed meat in general (kinda difficult because many, many products fall under that broad category), antibiotics (and resulting resistance) in factory farming, mercury and lead in tuna etc.) I'm not against eating meat in general, It tastes great and most cuts have great macros plus many micro nurtrients which are partly hard to get thorugh other foods. But the quality of the meat (and the means of mass factor farming, which is more on the ethical side but also has an influence on meat quality) is really bad in most cases, atleast in Europe, but I don't think that conventional meat is that much better in CA. Mabye you can include some reliable studies for rather polarizing topics. E. g. the diet pop thing is actually really controversial because there are many studies which claim that artificial sweeteners MAY in general contribute to weight gain, but the studies fail either to produce a solid causal relationship or are non-transferably to humans lol (rats getting fatter in a very limited scenario to prove sweeteners are bad...) Sorry for the novel and keep going.

For anyone interested in a little trick that's helped me (purely psychological), I simply alternate days. I'm in a calorie deficit one day (anything from minus 1k to 500 calories) then I eat at maintenance the next day (+/- 100 cal). That's it. Doing this I really feel energized even as I start to dip below 15% bodyfat (visible six pack and muscle striations everywhere). There are also some (limited) studies suggesting that cutting this way will preserve more muscle mass and BMR long-term. The only catch is of course, it takes twice as many total days to reach your goal weight. So this is more for those who are already somewhat lean & just want to go that extra mile.

When training and being in large deficits can slow down recovery making gains slower or stall and injury risk increases rapidly.

@@zukodude487987 Do you have any studies that link large but acute (1-2 day sprints) deficits with decreased recovery / muscle retention long-term? The only studies I've seen looking at large deficits are over sustained long-term. Not singular days. Certainly for me, it's not having any issues with recovery, if anything I feel better than on a standard 500 kcal cut every day.

@@KineticSymphony This is something i am not seen studies on, but based on my experience and people that do aggressive cutting you do get way more sore after training if your deficits are high and joints can become inflamed much faster compared to bulking when soreness and joint pains are rarer. It makes biological sense as well, how is your body supposed to sustain itself if you are slowing your metabolism and bottle-necking your nutrient intake?
@KineticSymphony3 жыл бұрын
@@zukodude487987 This is why if you do acute intense cuts, you need to track what you're eating in cronometer, to make sure you're still hitting your macro and micronutrient targets. If you do so, there won't be any issue imo.
@zukodude4879873 жыл бұрын
@@KineticSymphony Well covering your micros does not make you bullet proof. The second variable, your macros are not in line, you might eat 160g of protein, but you are in a high deficit. A calorie deficit lowers your metabolism and recovery and you can easily tell by how sore you get or by joint pains or in my case it ended in a pec tear.

You sir are awesome. I've heard all kinds of things about artificial sweeteners confusing the body and causing it to store fat, but its keeping me from craving the high calorie soda and I've been losing weight
