There's a lot of bands and people from my youth that I mourn and miss everyday. Out of all of them Greg Allman is at the top of that mountain. His voice, his songs, his willingness to leave it all on the stage floor will never be matched. His demons couldn't stop him. Thank you Greg for all the years of the greatest music to be written and performed. May you rest easy in eternal peace. You've earned it. Love & Peace.

I saw Gregg & the Allmans three times. Of all the bands I've ever seen, the Allmans were second only to Earth, Wind & Fire for tightness and listening to each other during the extended solos. So many bands think jam songs are excuses to go on autopilot. The Allmans always listened to the soloist, and never stepped on him. What a gift!

I hear a song now at 48 yrs old and one will remind me of some girl i dated or some moment in my life or another will remind me of when i was on the road traveling.
