As an American our Copa performance was completely embarrassing. In the game vs Panama, Weah got a read card early and after that, Berhalter didn’t want any of our players leaving our half. We sat back and defended for our lives when we clearly had better players. Even with 10 men we still could have tried to attack instead of just complete park the bus. Then eventually panama broke through near the end and we had no chance. Terrible by berhalter, we need a new coach immediately.

spot on. I’ve preached these types of comments since the World Cup. But the ultimate decider is the US Soccer federation and their pursuit of a new coach. Guess what? They spend loads of money looking for new coaches but none were “more appealing” than Berhalter. I believe they don’t have the guts to fire him. It would make US soccer look worse if you happen to get grouped and fire their head coach, than to make it seem like it was a “fluke”, and still pretend to have confidence in him leading the USMNT. Does it make sense? No But does it hide what’s really going on behind closed doors? Yes, and all we can do is speculate (for now)

Thankfully someone is taking about this, I have been hoping for Gregg Bergghalter out since the World Cup as he and his team only do the bare minimum. Than there was a whole scandal with Gio Reyna and that Gregg abused his wife, but that got swept under the rug. Than during the Uruguay game at the Copa, when he heard that Bolivia equalized against Panama, he told the team and everyone on the team stopped trying which led to a Uruguay goal, and than Panama scored twice and the USMNT lost.
